Perhaps going back to a strangers house seemed embarrassing to others but to Nick it was a blur, the alcohol keeping most of the embarrassment hidden away. Those green eyes peered into nicks as he sat on clays bed, his jeans feeling quite uncomfortable at this point due to the feeling of being in them for so long."What is that little brain of yours thinking?~" Clay asked in a sing-song voice as if he knew the answer wouldn't really matter. Nick grumbled, "I'm sorry you have to meet me like this, definitely wasn't my plan." A small snicker let him know that this asshole didn't care. "You planned to meet me? Awe that's cute!" It was Nicks turn to laugh this time, mockery lacing his voice in a way that made clay silent.
Nick turned towards the blonde with a smirk, "not really, though you were definitely a nice stranger. I'm leaving now." Clay was quick to stand up and race after Nick, much to his dismay he was blocked. The blonde peered down with a glare, "your drunk. I don't think so, plus your funny. I wanna see you sober." Nick groaned as pushed past the guy, seating himself on the couch. "I sleep here tonight or I leave." A nod from clay indicating understanding between the two.
Nick scooted over and stared at the guy, rolling his eyes when clay finally got the hint and scrambled next to him. "Not that I'll remember but, what's your favorite cartoon?" The blonde smiled and stared at the screen, his eyes blank as he spoke, "adventure time for sure..." he turned back to peer at Nick as he stopped talking, the intro to adventure time making him flinch at first.
"I'm gonna go grab you some clothes and some food okay?" A small noise left Nick as he watched the blonde stand and leave, he returned his attention to the cartoon he once adored so heavily... he misses it.
Nick felt his lips tug to a smile before snapping around to see clay coming back, holding a bowl of cereal and a hoodie with shorts. Clay sat the things in front of him before speaking softly, as if he was embarrassed.. "I assumed you didn't want to sleep in jeans.. you can keep the hoodie and shorts if you want." He didn't smile but he didn't show any other emotion either, Nick nodded and got up with the clothes.
He wobbled his way to the bathroom, locking the door behind him and pulling out his phone. He couldn't tell if he was in a dangerous situation right now or not, he was drunk and in a completely random strangers home. Nick put his phone down and looked in the mirror, scanning over his drunken face. "God I'm fucked up..." he chuckled before pulling the shirt over his head and replacing it with the green hoodie.
"Strange color but okay." Nick rolled his eyes and pulled his jeans down, the shorts fitting loosely around his hips. " at least it's comfortable..." he cringed before washing his hands and stepping back, for once he looked around. "What the hell?.." the bathroom was a strange color, a green color... sage?..
"Must be his favorite color... god he's obsessed with it!" Nick exclaimed with shock as he counted each green thing in the bathroom, shower curtains, rug, even the soap was green and some sorta flower scented. "Well that's one thing I don't have to ask about." He sighed before turning off the light and returning to the couch, giving clay no expression as he sat down.
Just as Nick went to press play he paused, "you like the color green...?" He knew he didn't really have to ask but it seemed heavily implied, curiosity killed the drunken teenager.
"Oh uhm yeah haha... I guess you could say I'm kinda obsessed with it!" He smiled at Nick, a nervous expression playing over his face as if he was scared of judgement. Nick nodded, "cool, I like the color red. I don't really have a favorite though." Clay seemed to brighten up at that statement, his response making Nick freeze. "I bet you look very nice in red!" Maybe it was a genuine compliment and nothing more but Nick didn't feel as such.
He nodded before ending the conversation and starting the episode, every so often or so they would laugh together and talk about the episode. Nick had eaten as much as he could though clay had more a lot, he had also drank the water given to him. By this point he was much more sober but still not fully sober and responsive.
After twenty episodes or so Clay finally stood up, he looked down at Nick with a uneasy frown. "You won't remember this but I hope you stay in the morning.. I want to get to know you." Nick smiled before placing his bowl in the hands of the blondes and laying down.
Clay shook his head and walked off, faint sounds of movement and running water kept nick assuming he was washing dishes and cleaning up for the night. "I will try to stay.." Nick mumbled softly, a small hum was heard and he could only assume it was clay indicating he didn't want to speak anymore of tomorrow.
Finally the steps got quieter until Nick sat up and locked eyes with clay "I leave you to sleep-" The blonde stopped at his door and looked down, his voice lacking pride when he spoke, "Will we ever talk again?..." Nick laughed, one that stated the answer before it was even spoken.
"I doubt it." Was all that he spoke of before laying down, he closed his eyes and frowned when the soft shut of a door rang through his ears mockingly. Though he wishes he could bring himself to be more open with the stranger, he knows that when tomorrow comes.. they will still be strangers.
He enjoys the little information that he's learned about the guy and takes it as a gift, finally he lets his mind stop and let's himself drift away into a non-rememberable dream.
