I Don't Trust You Anymore

Eloquent.

Persuasive.

You made me fall,

fall into your act;

I was fooled

by your words;

I didn't know

that they were

pretty lies.

I trusted you,

but my trust

seems to not

matter anymore

because you broke

and threw my trust.

As silly as this sounds,

you were the criminal

and I was the victim.

You tried to make amends,

saying you respected my wishes,

my boundaries, my limits.

That you won't wrong me,

and so on and on;

but lies can be smooth

and you did something

that was wrong

and that was illegal,

and I can't be fooled again

even when you say

you won't change my mind.

I can't trust you

when you've violated me;

I lied when I said,

"I trust you,

I just don't know

how much I trust you."

I'm sorry, but I don't trust

you anymore.

A/N: "It's really a wonder that I haven't dropped all my ideals, because they seem so absurd and impossible to carry out. Yet I keep them, because in spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart." - Anne Frank; Annelies Marie Frank
