as you dive in,
you go through
sun-lit waters,
then you swim through
cold, dark waters
and then dragged
through muddy waters
as you search
for that one
shining pearl;
and when you do,
you push off
from the bottom
and go back
to the sun-lit
waters
as your breaths
nearly collapse,
but you make it.
