i.synopsis

A fairytale-inspired by the classic works of the Brothers Grimm. This story is set in Europe sometime between the 16th-17th century, at the height of the Renaissance. The Renaissance yielded scholars the ability to read scriptures in their original languages.

At the start of the 16th-century controversy surrounded the Church, rumors of sexual scandal, greed, and the suppression of knowledge by the Church and members of the clergy eventually lead to the Protestant Reformation.

In 1517 Martin Luther a former Agustian Friar, monk, and scholar penned a document attacking the Catholic Church for its corrupt practice of selling "indulgences" to absolve sin.
