Call it a Deja Vu

//The next night

Things were going well for one. I managed to make some money, got stuff sorted out in school, made new friends with Em Jay, Glory, Betty and of course Gwen and got a place to repair my armor and to live. I even started to use the extra space outside the old warehouse to build an improvised studio as 'Thank you' to Gwen for helping me and EDI out on getting this place. So far I only got the walls and roof done. "So EDI what's our Estimated Time to Finish (ETF)?" I asked my companion while I flew around to have an overview of the work done so far "If there are no interruptions and using the armor I estimate a ETF of 4 days, we will also need more materials soon, shall I add to 'To buy' list?" I confirmed getting back on the ground. As I was walking back to the warehouse 'Call from Gwen' showed up on my hud "Hey Gwen, what's up" I answered the call "Hey...*sound of a explosion*...Can you guys wait a second? I'm on the phone here!...*sounds of bullets zipping by*...guess not!" Gwen was clearly mid-fight with someone. EDI warned me she was tracking the location of the call so we could get there as fast as possible "Spider-woman, hold on I'm getting there" I could hear the sounds of fight going on wherever the battle is should be easy to spot given the sounds of explosions "Thanks Ironclad! Hey cowboy, guess you're going to lose air superiority soon!".

It didn't take long for me to spot them. Spider-woman was fighting two guys on a rooftop, a big one with a mustache and a smaller one with what looked like an electric staff and covering those two was an apache helicopter 'Where those guys got military equipment? Anyway let's get the chopper out of the game' I quickly landed on the side of the pilot cockpit making the chopper swing from the sudden impact "Sorry to interrupt the fun, but this is a restricted air space, only guys in awesome armor and web-slingers allowed" I said breaking the window and grabbing the controls swerving the helicopter upwards await from the two other goons. I saw Spider-woman spring into combat with the other goons so far she was handling them well 'Ok, let's wrap this up quickly and be done with it'. I'm brought out of my thoughts when I heard a loud bang. I look at the pilot goon to see him aiming a pistol at my head "Really? Ok, lights out for you than" I said punching him on the temple knocking him out "Now to land this bird!" I turned the chopper off and quickly went under it in order to descend him safely "Clear the area people!" I shouted so the civilians could get out of the way, I could already see the police on their way 'Better help Gwen finish this fast' I landed the chopper and started flying up to where she was. As I arrived there the battle was almost over, Spider-woman had webbed the shorter onto the wall and was dodging the big one "Want help?" I offered receiving a swift 'no' as she did a somersault landing behind the big guy, swiping his legs and quickly webbing him up "Thanks for the help with the chopper, things could have been worse if you didn't showed" she said getting to the edge of the rooftop "Who are these guys by the way?" I asked looking at the knocked out goons "Kingpin, probably, I'm surprised he didn't send any ninja... ah man I just jinxed myself didn't I" she said getting ready for another fight. Before I could ask what she meant a shuriken flew right at me bouncing harmlessly off my armor. "Uhm, you ninja guys know how armor works don't you?" I said as the ninjas showed themselves as I and Gwen stayed back to back. "We do, we brought someone for just you" the leader ninja said as a figure with wings started to descend on us "Vulture!" Gwen warned.

Gwen pushed me and herself out of Toomes's attack "You get Vulture I can take care of the foot clan here!" I nodded, firing a few blasts on the ninjas before going to face Toomes. "You know Toomes this feels kind of Deja vu" I aimed at his wings firing a couple of blasts that Toomes managed to dodge "I don't know who you are, but you are aiding that bug so you're my enemy too!" he said charging me trying to grapple me with his feet claws. I dodged having already fought a version of Toomes he wasn't so different, different tech that's for sure and way older by the looks of it, but overall the same "Damn Toomes, age wasn't kind to you" I grappled him trying to break the device that give him flight "Come on where is the shutdown button, this stuff always has a on/off button! EDI my giving me a hand" I asked as Toomes started to spin to break my hold on him "I will kill you and then I will kill that damn insect!" Toomes exclaimed as he aimed himself at a building "No, no, not flying through a building again!" I used my repulser to change his direction, making him hit a water tower, causing both of us to fall on the adjacent rooftop. "Another happy landing" I groaned, getting up I saw Toomes slowly getting up "Alright Toomes, let's finish this, I still have a friend to help. some ninjas to beat and sleep to get before morning" I charged him not giving him time to breath pinning him to the ground "EDI! How do I shut his suit off!" I said between grunts trying to keep him under me "There seems to be an energy source on the lower part of his backpack, I estimate that a direct hit there should cut the power to his suit" I did just as she told me. Sparks started to fly as Toomes let out a dragged 'No' and his suit powered down "Ok, now you just stay there, I'll be back soon to give you to the cops!" I flew to where Gwen and the ninjas were fighting.

"Miss me boys!" I said as I tackled two of the ninjas knocking them out "About time, I almost thought you had changed me for Vulture as your partner" Gwen jokes "He's not my type Spider-woman" I said facing two more ninjas "How many guys did they send? Should we feel proud that they are throwing so many people at us?" dodged a sword and blasted the offender in the chest "This? This is nothing, should have seen the time I made good old Doc Ock angry, he sent an army of those Ock bots to attack me" she said swiftly kicking three ninjas "That's because you didn't see..." I was cut off by an angry voice "Will the two of you stop talking so much!" the leader ninja said, doing some attack that managed to throw me across the rooftop "Ow!" was all I could say "Now you little Spider I..." he didn't finish his speech as Gwen webbed his mouth and arms before delivering one hell of an ass beating on him. "Are you ok?" Gwen asked me, holding out her hand to help me stand up. I took it "I will feel this tomorrow, but yeah I'm fine. Thanks" I looked at the now oncounsius ninja leader, he was in a cocoon of web and I flinched seeing the bruises in his face "One hell of a beating you gave him" I commented, Gwen shied away a bit "Got a bit carried away" she mumbled. "Let's give these Mall ninjas to the police and then go home, I really need a good night's sleep after this fight" I said jokingly while carrying the unconscious ninjas and goons down. "Stop right there! Hands where I can see them!" The leading cop said as I and Gwen finished dropping off the last of the goons "Can't do officer, really need to get back home" Gwen said, turning to flee the scene only for her web shooter to make a clicky sound and nothing happen "Webs! Not now!" she cursed, hitting her shooter with her free hand "Just doing our jobs officer, see you all" I said quickly grabbing Gwen and flying out of there.

//Third POV

Unknown to both Y/N and Gwen a figure with a red suit and red sunglasses observed both of them during the fight and after "Interesting and problematic" the figura said moving away from the scene. Picking up a cell phone he dialed a number "We have a potential problem for our plans, but I think I can work out an edge for us" he smiled at the memory of what he 'saw' when one of his lieutenants knocked the armored one to the ground, the fury Spider-woman showed.

// Y/N POV

I arrived at the warehouse carrying Gwen alongside "And here we are, thanks for flying with L/N airlines, I hope you enjoyed your flight and will use our services again in the future!" I said doing my best flight attendant impression. That got a chuckle out of Gwen "I will, thanks for the save" she said giving me a quick hug. I let out a nervous chuckle "EDI already called a cab here, don't worry EDI paid for it already" Gwen raised a eyebrow and let a teasing smirk out "So eager to get rid of me uhm" I chuckled shoving her shoulder "Har har". We fell into a comfortable silence, Gwen decided to break the silence "So...guess the cab will take some time to get here, right?" I raised an eyebrow "Yeah, ETA is around forty-five minutes, why?" she gestured to the still in progress studio "I could do good on that proposition of drums class" I smiled "Will this cost me? Because I still haven't bought any corn dog and I don't know if there is any place open at this time" she let out a laugh "No, no this one is in the house" she started to walk to the studio, I followed suit.

//Third POV S.H.I.E.L.D HQ

In a darkly lit room four figures are around a table observing a freeze frame image of Ironclad and Spider-woman fighting the Hand goons on a monitor "Do we have confirmation that he is not a criminal?" director Carter asked leaning on the table "So far his actions have been beneficial to the people of New York" an agent answers "And if he turns sour? Then what? That armor of his is like nothing we've ever seen and we don't know what he is capable of" another figure, this one younger than the rest asked "Than leave him to me" Captain America answered stepping into the light.
