Two more days had passed and Meredith was still not feeling any better. He himself was perfectly fine, the only day he had felt slightly sick was the day his sister had told him she was engaged when he had been a little tired but other than that he luckily still hadn't experienced any symptoms.

Right now, he was sitting on his hospital bed, working on his laptop, studying an article on some new covid pills while Meredith was fast asleep in the other bed. He continued to do research on the virus and possible cures since he hated seeing Meredith so miserable.

He sat there for another while until the door opened and Maggie came in, also wearing a full-protective-suit. "Hey, how is she?" she asked quietly, walking over to Andrew after closing the door behind her.

"Still exhausted she's been sleeping for about twelve hours now." He said, looking up from his laptop and over to the sleeping form of his girlfriend, tightly wrapped into his pullover and two blankets but still shivering.

Maggie just nodded, walking over to her sister and checking on her vitals, carefully taking her temperature. "101.3" she whispered, writing the number down in her chart on the tablet in her hand.

"It has risen again?" he asked, turning around, sitting on the edge of the bed now, watching Meredith measuring Meredith's blood oxygen level. "It's at 96 that's not ideal but not dangerous yet." She said quietly. "But it's too low." He replied concerned, looking at Meredith's still pale face, starting to panic a little.

"We're monitoring her closely, if anything happens we can react right away." She said to reassure Andrew. "Right now, it doesn't look like she'll need to be put on a vent again." Maggie added, laying a hand on Andrew's shoulder who just nodded.

"I'll check on you two again in half an hour." She said, before leaving the room again. Andrew continued to just look at Meredith for a few minutes before he got up and walked around the bed, laying down behind her, pulling her into his arms as he couldn't see her shivering any longer.

She unconsciously moved back, trying to get closer to him. "You'll be okay." He whispered into her ear, his eyes getting watery.

Four hours had passed and Meredith still hadn't woken up. He slowly entangled himself and got up, taking measure instrument Maggie had left and took Meredith's oxygen blood level. It had went down to 94. He sighed. Still not dangerous but the fact that it was sinking was terrible. He grabbed the oxygen-canula with the tank that was standing in the corner and placed it on Meredith's face, turning it on so that she would get some more oxygen and hopefully her numbers would rise a little. Still kneeling in front of her, just inches away from her face he stroked her hair, kissing her temple.

Her nose was red and the skin around it was dry since she had to blow it so often. The rest of her face was still extremely pale and she still had deep bags under her eyes.

She now suddenly started to move a little, scrunching up her nose which was the most adorable thing he had ever seen. He looked at her, smiling brightly. She was the cutest. How did he get so lucky?

He continued to stroke her hair and just watch her sleep. Watching her breath steadily was unexpectedly calming. She was breathing though her mouth since she was slightly congested but that somehow made her even more adorable.

He was glad that she was getting some rest but that she had been sleeping for so long, not waking up a single time, worried him. She also had been due to take her medication six hours ago.

He was pulled out of his thoughts by a slight whimper coming from her, making his heart ache. "Shh, it's okay." He whispered, kissing her temple again. After a few more minutes she opened her eyes, looking up at him, smiling a little while rubbing her nose.

"You're watching me sleep." She stated, her voice thick of sleep as he smiled back down at her. "Yeah." He replied, his hand still stroking her hair as he continued to watch her as she slowly woke up. "How are you feeling?" he asked concerned, adjusting the canula on her face.

"I'm being watched sleeping by some weirdo." She said, giggling softly, making him smile even brighter. "Well, that weirdo just thinks that you're really cute when you're sleeping." He replied chuckling. "And he was also pretty worried since you've been asleep for almost sixteen hours." He added, looking at her with a concerned frown.

"I was tired." She shrugged, releasing a few coughs into her blanket. "Are you feeling a little better now?" he asked, rubbing her back again. "M'bit." She said. "But I'm still tired, you?" she added, and he replied: "Not really, I've been working a bit."

"You really don't have any symptoms?" she asked confused. "No, I don't." he said, smiling at her reassuringly. "I'm jealous." She sighed, burying herself deeper into the bed, sniffling quietly. "Can we listen to the podcast?" she asked shyly, bringing her blanket further up around her small form, implying that she really wasn't feeling well.

"Of course." He said, kissing her forehead before standing up and grabbing his phone, opening Spotify, and starting an episode they hadn't heard yet. He put the phone onto the nightstand and turned down the volume a little so that the sound was at a comfortable listening-volume.

He quickly laid down behind her and pulled her into his arms, starting to rub her stomach a little, hoping that she would soon feel a little better.
