Paige looked to Sasha with wide eyes before running to the bottom floor with her gun in hand. She saw Lizzie trying to lead a walker away from a member of the Woodbury group.

She ran towards the walker shoving it to the floor, switching her gun for her knife as the walker clawed through her shirt. She quickly put it down as it made it halfway through her shirt.

Paige stood up just to be knocked back the cold surface of the floor, there was a walker about to take a bite from her shoulder as a gunshot went off. Standing above her was a blonde woman around her age, holding a shot gun.

The woman's name was Sarah, she had been on the outskirts of town when Paige and Daryl found her. She was severely dehydrated and malnourished. Paige had rushed to the girl offering her water and half of her lunch.

Daryl had been against it, worried for the girl he had come to care about. Paige ignored his warnings and asked the girl the three questions as she scarfed the granola bar down, nearly choking.

How many walkers have you killed?

How many people have you killed?

Why?

Sarah had answered all three questions, the first answer being four. The second question choked the blonde up as she said one, the third being because she loved him.

Sarah had passed and was led to the car Paige had brought along for recruitments. Daryl made eye contact with Paige, not saying a word. Paige smiled at him, nodding her head as if knowing his thoughts.

Content with the answer to his unspoken question, Daryl swung his leg over the motorcycle.

Paige looked up at the blonde with the gun, as a walker crept from behind her biting into Sarah's neck. Paige shot the walker and Sarah, putting her out of her misery. As Paige took a look around, she saw pure chaos. she thought fast and started shutting the cells with live members and put down all walkers she could see. As she finished the lower floor, she saw Sasha laying across the floor of Glenn's cell.

She ran to the top of the stairs squeezing Glenn's bag and checking Sasha's pulse.

Paige realized she needed to choose who to save as tears fell from her eyes, leaking down her cheeks.

"Dear God, please help me. I can't let either die" Paige cried as she tried to save both

As if her prayers were answered, the door to the block opened and two people ran in, Hershel and Maggie

"Caleb?! We heard the gunshots!" Hershel yelled trying to find the recently deceased doctor.

"Daddy! Up here, I need help it's Glenn and Sasha!" Paige yelled, no longer worried about disobeying her father, just worried about the two people she cared for dying at her feet.

Hershel and Maggie ran up to the cell, occupied by Paige and the two unconscious humans.

"Paige! I told you not-"

Paige quickly cut her dad's lecture short, " I know daddy, I just need to save them, and I can't please help me"

Maggie gasped as she saw Glenn, Paige letting out a small sob.

"Mags, I'm sorry. I had to step away for a moment, Sasha had it under control." Paige said as she kept squeezing the bag and Hershel checked on Sasha.

"Paige, I need another bag for Sasha" Hershel told his daughter in a soothing voice, trying to calm her down

Paige nodded, " Maggie, I need you to do this while I grab the bag"

Maggie quickly scurried to her husband's side and took over for her sister. Paige got up from the cold floor and took quick steps out of the cell and down the stairs. She grabbed another intubation kit and made her way up the stairs and dropped to her knees beside Sasha. She opened the kit and slid the intubation tube down the dark skinned woman's throat.

"Paige, we got them. You need to check on the others" Hershel said to her

"No, daddy I promised them both I wouldn't let anything happen to them. Oh god, I should have been here not down there" Paige said as she let another sob out

"Paige! You will do as I say, check on the children!" Hershel said raising his voice at his daughter

Paige quickly wiped the tears from her face and wiped her face clean of emotions. She looked at the two on the floor and walked away, immense guilt in her chest.

Paige walked to the cell with the three children, checking on them. After she assured them that the walkers were gone, she went to the next cell.

Paige had put multiple people out of their misery of walker bites and scratches. She approached Matthew's cell to see him safe and still breathing. Paige leaned down to his side and smiled at him weakly.

"What's wrong?" Matthew asked her

Paige shook her head, "Nothing is wrong just checking on your dumbass"

"I'm okay, are you?"

"I'm not the sick one, I'm the doctor" Paige said as she brushed the hairs from his sweaty forehead.

"Stay with me, just until I fall back asleep" Matthew suggested, with hope shining in his eyes

Paige nodded her head and held his hand as he closed his eyes.

"I really am sorry for what I did to you" Matthew slurred as he fell back to sleep.

Paige held his hand for a few more moments, before she was startled by the door being slammed open and footsteps jogged in. Paige walked out of the cell to see Daryl, with Michonne and Tyrese. Each holding a big bag, Paige smiled as she made eye contact with Ty.

"Ty, she isn't doing the best but she will be fine now. She is upstairs with my daddy" Paige told him as he handed his bag off to her and ran up the stairs to his sister.

"Paige! Thank god you are okay, how is everyone else?" Michonne asked as she hugged the girl

"We lost a lot of people, but now that we have medicine we saved even more" Paige told the two

"That's great" Michonne said as she started to empty her bag and sort all of the supplies.

Paige looked to Daryl, making eye contact. He raised his eyebrow and she nodded before they joined Michonne and started to disperse medication to the ill survivors. Paige walked into Matthew's cell with his dose of medicine.

"Matthew, take this" She told him as she shook him awake.

Matt did just as she said and smiled at the girl, grabbing her hand.

"Thank you"

Paige nodded her head before pulling her hand from his grasp and meeting up with Daryl in the middle of the cell block.

"Thank you" She told the redneck

As he nodded, she grabbed onto his forearm.

"Are you okay? You didn't get hurt did you?" She asked him concerned for his wellbeing.

Before he could respond she noticed a large cut across his bicep. She quickly pushed him to sit on the stairs, earning a groan from him.

She grabbed some supplies and started to clean the cut, finishing with stitches.

"How did that happen?"

"Caught the corner of an old cage and scraped it" he replied

"I'm glad you are safe"

Daryl looked at her, "you too, doc"

As Paige helped all of the sick with taking their medication, Daryl walked out of cell block A.
