"I wanna play a game." I looked out at Steve and took a deep breath. "What?" Casey asked. "He wants to play a game," I told her. She shook her head looking back at Steve. "Then he dies!" The asshole on the other line said. "What's the game?" I asked. "Turn off the light. You'll see what kind of game," he said. "Cas, turn off the light," I told her but she just shook her head. "Casey, turn the light off," I said firmly. She cried and looked at Steve one more time and then turned the light off.

"Here's how we play. I ask a question. If you get it right, Steve lives," he said. Casey knelt down and tucked herself between the built-in bookshelf and tv. She pulled the plug for the lamp sending us into darkness, the only light was coming from the tv. "This is bullshit," I said. "Come on, it'll be fun," he said. "Yeah, for you." I rolled my eyes as he chuckled. "Just get on with it so we can get this over with and you can come out of your hiding place and try to kill us."

"It's an easy category. Movie trivia. I'll even give you a warm-up question. Name the killer on Halloween," he said. "Michael Myers," I said. Casey looked up at me, tears streaming down her face. I knelt down in front of her and grabbed her hand. "Very good. Now for the real question. But your friend needs to answer it," he said. "Cas, you need to answer the next question," I told her. She shook her head, "I cant," she said. "Yes you can"

"Name the killer on Friday the 13th," I repeated. She jumped up, "Jason! Jason! Jason!" She yelled. I shook my head at her, a shaky breath leaving me. "Wrong! Steve dies!"

"No, Cas," I said. "Yes it is. I've seen that movie 20 goddamn times!" She yelled. "No, Casey it's not! It was Mrs. Voorhees!" I yelled back. "You're so much smarter than your friend," he chuckled. "Wait! Don't kill him! Ask another question. Anything and I'll answer it," I said not being able to bear seeing my best friend crying. "Too late! But there is a bonus question. Poor Steve," he said. I turned to the door while Casey looked away. I saw a black figure move in the dark and Harvard Steve groaned. Casey turned on the light and I felt bile rise in my throat. Steve's inside was now on the outside.

Casey went back to her spot by the tv whimpering. I stood there staring at Steve. The hand the phone was in was dropped down by my side. "Hey, we're not finished yet," I heard a deep voice. I slowly lifted the phone back to my ear. I was starting to feel numb. "Final question. Are you ready? What door am I at?" He asked. "The patio door," I said. Casey grabbed a letter opener off the top of the tv. I slowly looked at here and mouthed, "Run."

"Very good. Now move, y/n." I grabbed Casey and ran as one of the patio chairs came crashing through the doors. We ran into the kitchen and Casey swapped the letter opener for a knife from the knife block. I shoved the phone in her hand, "call the police if we get separated. I'll try and draw him away from you," I told her. "What. No!" She said.
"I'll be fine. But you run and call the police."

We backed up towards the small living space beside the kitchen. We both jumped a little when we saw a tall cloaked figure run into the living room. We continued to back up towards the doors that lead to the side of the house. Casey pressed herself against the fence while I shut the door as quietly as possible. I jumped back when I saw the cloaked guy in the kitchen. "Go," I whispered when we saw head lights coming down the road. Casey's parents were home.

She ducked down and crawled under the windows and I followed. She peaked up and the guy from the phone was there wearing a white mask. "Run!" I yelled. Casey took off just as the guy crashed through the window. He grabbed my ledt wrist and I screamed, swinging by right and punching him. He fell back with a grunt and I took off the way Casey went. I saw Casey run around the side of the house but I paused for a second at seeing Steve. I heard crashing and turned towards the broken patio doors to see the guy running towards me. I took off running around the corner of the house.

I heard Casey scream but I didn't get far when the crashing of glass hit my ears and I was tackled to the ground. "Fuck you!" I screamed as he pinned me to the ground. I kneed him in the crotch and then pushed him off. I was about to run around to the front when I was around my waist and pulled back. I went to scream but my mouth was covered by a black glove. I kicked and tried to hit the person  behind me.

I was slammed against the house and a hand wrapped around my neck. He squeezed just tight enough that it cut it off. I was clawing at his hand, tears finally falling. He put the knife up to my face, slowly sliding it down to my jaw. I winced as he cut me under it. I could feel blood trickling down my neck. His grip on my neck loosened and he wiped the tears from my cheeks as a white hot pain shot through my stomach. I looked down to see the knife half way in. With shaky hands I wrapped them around his hand. Blood covered the small part of my stomach that was exposed. "I'm sorry." I was so faint I almost didn't catch it. I reached up and grabbed the mask but before I could pull it off he head butted me and everything went black.

BILLY

I pulled the knife out of Y/N's stomach after I knocked her out. I grabbed her and gently laid her on the ground. I could feel the bile rising in my throat at having to hurt her. But I panicked and thought if they found her unharmed they would make her a suspect and I couldn't have that. I didn't cut her deep so she would be alright and wouldn't bleed out. "Hey, man-" I looked up at Stu, who was panting a little. "We gotta go, man. Is she?" He nodded down at y/n. "No. I didn't cut her deep. She'll  be fine but it had to happen," I said and stood up. We ran off to my car down the road and threw our knives and costumes in the trunk.

I headed over to Sid's house. It was part of our alibis. We would go to Sidney's. I would sneak into her window and Stu would wait for her dad to leave. He would knock him out and drive to his house to ditch the car and tie Neil up in his basement before heading to Tatum's. I knew I would be getting a call about y/n So I wasn't planning on being at Sidney's long. I would only stay long enough for Stu to get her dad and then head home to wait for a call from Sheriff Burke or Dewey.
