Chapter 9

I sit in my regular spot in between Jeongyeon and Byul.

"Hmm, sit next to Jeongyeon" the teacher tells Chaeyoung and she walks up to sit next to Jeong

Jeong smiles at her and Chaeng smiles back, making me roll my eyes.

Why am I so annoyed at their little interactions?!

"You okay Soo?" I hear Byul ask me and I turn to her, seeing that both Byul and Jennie are looking at me

"Wae?! Do I look like I'm not okay?" I ask them annoyed because it's the second time they ask

"Well, you're gripping your paper like it did something bad to you" Jennie says and I look down at my paper

They're right, it looks like I'm trying to murder someone by the way I'm gripping this paper

I clear my throat and look away, trying my best to act normal.

"Ani, I'm just thinking" I say

"In the middle of history class? Usually you pay attention and take notes in this class. You love history" Byul says

"So what if I'm a bit distracted? New day, new me." I say and pay attention to the teacher

I hear them sighing and the remainder time of class they stay quiet while Jeong and Chaeng are talking and giggling, from time to time I see Chaeyoung blushing and I can't help but fume.

- After Class -

When class ends I immediately grab my stuff and stand up, trying to leave class before any one can call me. I quickly go to G7, which is business class and sit in my seat.

One of my favorite classes. I'm gonna be fine.

I close my eyes, I take a deep breath and let it out, trying to calm myself.

The day is almost over.

"Okay!" I yell, suddenly opening my eyes and scaring everyone

"M-Mianhae" I apologize with a shy smile and they all go crazy

"SO ADORABLEEEE!!!"

"SHE'S SO CUTEEE"

"AWWW! SHE'S SUCH A BABY"

I smile at my fan girls and they go even crazier, I look at the door and I see Chaeyoung passing by.

"Chae-!" I was about to yell but then I stop

My smile fades away when I see she's with Jeongyeon again.

Are they really that close? AGH!

I look away, feeling angry for no reason.

Why am I so angry when I see her with Jeong?

I ignore my thoughts and just stare outside the window.

- Time Skip To Last Class -

I walk out of theatre and I walk to band. When I get in the small room, I walk to my electric guitar's case and I open it, revealing my guitar. I smile and take my guitar out, I set it up and soon all of The Royalties are here.

"Why are you guys late?" I ask them with a serious voice

"We were with Chaeyoung and we called you but you didn't hear us" Jeongyeon said

I perfectly heard you, I just decided to ignore it

"Oh," I say

"Then let's practice one of our old songs for now" I tell them and they all nod and start setting up their instruments

We practice a few songs before sitting in a circle on the floor.

"Okay, do you guys have any ideas for the upcoming competition?" Lisa asks

"Hmm, what about a new concept?" Seulgi asks

"Like what?" Byul asks

"Hmm..." Jeongyeon thinks

"Sarang (Love)?" I ask, making Lisa laugh

"What's wrong with you?!" I ask Lisa, annoyed of her

"N-no, it's cause- PFFFFFT HAHAHA" Lisa laughs without control

"Why are you laughing now?" I ask her

"You want to sing about love, but you don't know what love is?" She asks, still laughing and I smack her head

"Ow!" She yells and stops laughing to rub her head

"Well...not to be rude, but the monkey has a point" Jeongyeon says

"And you? It's not like you've dated someone! At least I dated someone!" I tell Jeong because it's true

"So what if I never dated anyone? That's because I'm waiting for the right person! At least I know what love is and I know what it feels like. You never loved Somi, you just loved the thought of loving her!" Jeongyeon yells

"YAH! DON'T BRING HER INTO THIS!" I yell back at her, standing up

"WAE (WHY)?! IT'S BECAUSE YOU KNOW IT'S TRUE!" she yells, standing up too

"Yah Yah Yah!" Seulgi yells, getting in between me and Jeongyeon

With one last glare, we both sit down

"What's up with you today, Soo?" Lisa asks

"Yeah, the first half of the day you were happy and now you're all cranky. Who pushed your buttons?" Byul asks

I shake my head, "It's nothing. I'm sorry Jeong" I apologize to her

"It's alright, I'm sorry for bringing her up" Jeong apologizes too

"Okay! Now back to the competition. I think love is a great concept, but are you sure Jisoo?" Lisa asks me and I give her a 'go-on' look

"Remember you are writing the lyrics, and you haven't really experienced love" Lisa says

"The competition is in a month right?" I ask them and they all give each other a puzzled look

The bell rings interrupting our conversation and signaling that school is over. We stay quiet and hear students in the hallways running, yelling, and doing every possible thing that makes loud noise. We sit there, waiting until it gets quiet again.

Wait. I'm pretty sure Chaeyoung's last class is dance.

"H-hey! I gotta go!" I yell and stand up, rushing to grab all my belongings

"Where are you going?!" They yell

"Somewhere! Don't wait for me! See you guys tomorrow!" I yell and rush out
