Chapter 19

Chaeyoung P.O.V. - Next Day After School

All day Jisoo has been overly sweet with me. Not that I'm complaining. She gives me so many butterflies, but I look like a tomato all day!

"Chaeyoung, are you sick?" I hear someone ask

I look up and see Jungkook with a worried face.

"No no, I'm okay, why?" I ask him, curious why he thinks I'm sick.

"You're so red" he answers

I feel my face and it feels warm.

I'm blushing again?! Oh gosh Jisoo...what have you done?

"Maybe that's enough rehearsal today" Jungkook says and sits down to drink water

"No, I can keep going." I tell him

He shakes his head while drinking water. I sigh in defeat and take a sip of my own water bottle.

He finishes his water and stands up. He begins to pack up his things.

"I'll see you tomorrow then, Chaeng" he says

I nod with a gentle smile, and he walks out the classroom. I sigh and sit down. A flashback of today's lunch hits me.

Flashback

"He was so annoying!" Nayeon yells, rolling her eyes

I chuckle at her story.

"That does sound annoying" SinB says.

"Ou, Perfect Prince is coming" Nayeon tells me

I turn around and see Jisoo walking towards me with her usual charming smile. She has her hands behind her back as if she's hiding something.

"What are you hiding?" I ask her

"Hmmm, guess" she hums, the smile not leaving her face.

"Food?" I ask her

She giggles, "No, silly"

"Then?"

She moves her hands from behind and points it out to me. I look at what she's holding out and a blush immediately takes over my face.

"Jisoo..."

"A pretty flower for a beautiful girl like you" she says with a huge smile

End of Flashback

"EEEEEEEK!" I squeal in the silent classroom

I jump up and do a little excited dance.

What if...? No, not possible. But what if...? Ahhhhh! What if she likes me back?! Okay Chaeyoung! No. Stop being delusional!

I calm myself down before packing up and leaving the classroom. I walk down the hallway and remember that Jisoo might also be rehearsing for the festival. As I get closer to her band room, I hear a voice.

Wait, that's Jisoo's voice!

I peek into the room and I see Jisoo standing in the middle of the room, singing.

<<We danced the night away, we drank too much
I held your hair back when
You were throwing up>>

Wait! I know this song.

<<Then you smiled over your shoulder
For a minute, I was stone-cold sober
I pulled you closer to my chest>>
