Chapter 28

Next Day, Jisoo P.O.V.

"Hey Chaengie" I whisper to Chaeyoung in class

"Hm?" she hums and turns to me

I look at her, "Are you mad at me?"

"No, why would I be?"

"You didn't come by yesterday" I answer her

"I just didn't want to bother you" she tells me and looks away.

"But I really enjoy your presence...I don't think you could ever bother me" I whisper to her

She nods and doesn't look at me. I sigh.

She has to be mad about something...

"I don't know why you're mad, but I'd like to fix it" I tell her and finally pay attention to the teacher.

I see her turn her head to me and after a second, she turns back around. Class goes by with me and Chaeyoung barely talking.

I don't know what's going on, but I hate it.

When class ends, Chaeyoung quickly packs up and leaves me behind.

"Chaengie wait!" I call but she doesn't hear me.

I frown.

"Well that's...odd" Jennie says

"Did you talk to her?" Lisa asks me

I nod, "But she ignored me"

"Oh she's really upset at you" Jennie replies

"But I thought we made up because she was being clingy yesterday and I was over at her house on Friday" I explain

"Women are confusing Jisoo. Jennie alw-" Lisa starts but gets smacked by Jennie.

I laugh at their antics.

"We should get to class" Jennie says and goes ahead

"She's always so moody" Lisa whispers to me and follows after her girl.

Moody? Could Chaeyoung be on her period?

I shake my thoughts away and head to my next class. When I get there, I see it's not the regular seating. In the beginning it used to be Nayeon and SinB sitting in front of me, Chaeng, and Jeongyeon. Later it changed to Jeongyeon and Nayeon sitting in front of me, Chaeng, and SinB. But today it's Jeongyeon and Chaeyoung sitting in front with Nayeon and SinB next to my seat. I walk to my seat and Nayeon and SinB greet me.

"Why's Chaeng sitting over there today?" I ask Nayeon

"She wanted to be with her childhood friend for a day so I let her" Nayeon explains to me

"I see" I say, putting my backpack down.

Jeongyeon turns back, "Hey Soo"

I nod with a smile as I take a seat. I expect Chaeyoung to turn around too, but she doesn't. I cant help but frown.

Is she getting tired of me? Was I too cheesy with her?

The teacher comes in and starts the lesson. I watch as Jeongyeon and Chaeng goof around. Chaeyoung giggles as Jeongyeon whispers something in her ear. I feel a knot forming in my stomach.

Why is Jeong flirting with her? Isn't she already dating Nayeon?

I can't help but feel jealous because of their interactions. I can't even look anywhere else because they're in the way of the professor teaching.
