......Wake up...
Hyrule needs you...
A light. A voice.
The light grew brighter, the voice lulling me to open my eyes.
Lifting my eyelids, I let the room start to focus. The voice had stopped, replaced by gentle water trickling near my ears.
Above me was a large structure, below it my body was half submerged by water. I was in a water suit, but otherwise nothing. I slowly sat up to look around the room. I was alone.
Who was that?
I swung my legs over to one side sliding out of what looked to be a large tub, the water now drained from the bottom. My hair cascaded down my back, damp from the water. I wrung it out as much as I could, then threw it back to let it dry completely.
Glancing around the room, on a pedestal stood a glowing stone. As I approached it, it started to glow brighter, almost asking me to take it.
Using its handle, I disconnected the device to find it was much more than only a stone which I had thought before. It was a tablet of some sort, something strangely very familiar.
I held up the tablet, causing the door of the room to open revealing another small room. In this one, there were boxes and two chests that looked as if they'd been resting here for a long, long while. In one chest were old and worn pants, in the other a worn shirt. I placed both over my suit that had since dried from the water in the tub. I wiggled my bare toes.
And hopefully soon I'll find shoes.
I picked the tablet back up, wondering what else it could unlock. Ahead was another pedestal much like the one I'd acquired it from.
Perhaps they work the same.
I held the tablet up to the pedestal and it began to glow as another door opened. Sunlight streamed into the room, illuminating the space. This one led to what seemed like the outside world. I attached the tablet to the belt of the worn pants. After crossing a puddle and climbing a small ledge, the sunlight only grew brighter as I drew closer to the doorway. My feet felt the soft, plush grass beneath them as I emerged out onto an outlook of what seemed like a vast land.
It was incredibly beautiful. It looked peaceful; however, I had the feeling that was not the case. No one seemed to be around...but a small silhouette was standing outlined by a campfire.
Perhaps they would know what is going on. Or they will try to kill me. Guess we shall find out.
In case they were foe rather than friend, I grabbed several sticks to defend myself hoping it would be enough. I also found a bug of some kind clinging to a tree trunk, maybe it'll be useful later.
I slowly approached the figure, who looked like an older man sitting beside his campfire holding a lantern atop a stick.
"Well hello there, young one." The old man started with a full, deep voice.
"Hello," I simply responded. My stomach started to gurgle.
"When was the last time you've eaten?" He asked.
"I'm....not sure actually."
"Here, take this apple. If you throw them by the fire, they increase their health restoring abilities," he explained as he tossed the apple to me. It was almost charred on the outside, but perhaps the stranger just left it on the fire for too long.
