After a half day's journey, I began seeing smoke from warm homes billow up into the sky. Cloud started to slow down, but we were so close.
We had to outrun many of those crazy bokoblins along the roads, narrowly dodging them at times.
I didn't want to stop. If I stopped, I would start to think about the grief. The grief for my friends. Those I hardly knew nor remembered.
The sun was beginning to dip behind the mountains as we went through the entrance to Hateno Village. It was a cute and lovely little village, I was surprised they survived as well as they did 100 years ago.
Towards the top of the village's hill, there was the blue flame Impa had talked about.
Lighting one of my arrows, I shot it lit with the blue fire through one of the farthest lanterns up the hill. Climbing back onto Cloud, I ran a boko club through the lantern and rushed to the top where another furnace was waiting. Just as I ignited the furnace, my boko club splintered into pieces. The travel gate began to glow.
Another travel point. Now we're getting somewhere.
I hopped off Cloud, who had begun munching on the tall grass. I tossed her an apple from our travels and headed towards the doors of Purah's home and lab. At least that had been what was on the sign.
Was it rude to come here this late?
The sun had set long ago.
Shrugging, I knocked on the door. A brief voice sounded from behind, so I opened it to find a young girl with large glasses.
"I'm looking for Purah."
"Who's askin-ZELDA? It worked!? The shrine of resurrection really worked!"
"Purah?" Surely this young girl was not even a thought when the events of the calamity occurred.
"It is I! Click, snap! Don't you recognize me?"
"Uh, no. However, I've seemed to have lost a lot of my memory so that's not unusual."
"I see," she replied, pulling out a book and jotting down some notes. "Sorry, that was rude of me. I tend to take a lot of notes. Anyways, let's fix that slate shall we? Nice work on reactivating the furnace. Since you knew to do that you must remember some things after all."
"Thank you, but Impa advised me to do so."
"Ah yes, well then the credit to your memory may not be correctly placed, then. That's unfortunate, I'm sorry. But let's see what we can do with that slate! Click, snap, let's fix it! Give me a bigggg snap!"
"Snap?"
"Nooo! Bigger!"
"SNAP!" I shouted. Let's get a move on already.
"Much better. Okay let me see it."
I handed the slate to Purah, who then placed it on a pedestal alike all the ones I've seen before.
A drop from the pedestal dripped onto the slate, revealing a whole new Hyrule Compendium, sensor, and the photo rune.
The photo rune is familiar, I must have used it a lot before the calamity.
When it was finished, Purah had me take a picture to make sure it worked.
"Just like that, click and snap! It looks like I wasn't able to completely update it, but if you bring back more ancient materials I'll improve it for you even more. The sensor can sense shrines for you now, and you can now take and access your old photos."
