Perhaps someone in Akkala would be able to help me fight the Guardians...

I was no match for a Guardian as I was, I would need to be careful until then.

Putting the "ancient arrow" in my inventory, I pulled out the slate for direction. The Kara Kara Bazaar according to Pikango would be another photo location, and another beast was near it on the slate. That would be my next goal.

Following the road south, I skirted below the Great Plateau. It seemed just as I had left it, most likely more full of monsters.

I past by a large camp full of moblins, bokoblins, and lizalfos, but none seemed to notice me which was just fine.

As I crossed a bridge, my slate lit up for a shrine that must be nearby. As I pulled it out to check it, loud snoring sounded in front of me.

"What in the-" I clammed up, realizing my mistake.

The snoring stopped.

The ground started to shake as an enormous monster rose from where it had been lying. As it turned to face me, a large, gross, yellow eye snapped open. It let out a deafening roar, spraying sticky spit everywhere.

Almost gagging, I pulled out my last rusty sword. I had Mipha's trident, but I didn't want to break it if I didn't have to.

Hylia...I need to invest in better weaponry.

Swallowing my sinking feeling, I tried to muster up courage.

The monster was hobbling toward me, causing the ground to quake with each step. As it approached it reared back its massive arms.

A downward strike! Panicking, I whipped out Stasis and stopped the creature's arms mere inches from the top of my head. Running in between its legs, I tried to think of a way I didn't have to use weapons. I had some arrows from Beedle...

An ancient arrow? No. I should save that. Guardian eyes...the eye!

I could try and shoot its huge eye, so far eyes have been a consistent pattern...right?

The Stasis released, the monster plowing its hands into the ground, creating a crater where I'd been standing mere seconds ago.

Sheathing my rusty sword, I took out one of my Traveler's bows. Loading an arrow, I waited for it to turn around. Immediately I was thankful its eye was so big, it was an easier target. Pulling back the string as it located me, I let it fly square into its pupil. It let out a screech, falling back into the ground, holding its eye in pain. I rushed it, slicing its legs with my rusty sword, almost breaking it as it stood up once again. Before the monster could crush me, I Stasised it again, this time aiming an arrow and letting it find its eye again before the time was up. Another screech, another fallback. I threw my broken rusty sword at its stomach, causing another cry in pain. I waited for Stasis to reload, but it wasn't fast enough. The monster started to rise, absolute hatred in its red, bleeding eye.

Oh no.

I ran backwards trying to shoot it again, but it had learned. It covered its eye each time that I lifted my bow. My sinking feeling crept right back as I realized I would have to change my fighting style. Stasis finally reloaded, so I quickly stopped its time and shot its eye that way. My arrows were running rather short, but I had enough for a couple more shots. When the time released, it fell back. It was now bleeding from many different places, and much slower with rising.

Perhaps one more good hit will do him in.

While it was clutching its eye, I switched to the bomb rune, rolling it right in between its legs. Right as it started to rise again, making eye contact with me, I ignited the bomb. It fell to the ground with a large thud, then disappeared into purple smoke and a load of monster parts.
