[Chapter 29: The Preparation]
Author's POV
They were all standing there at the same spot after Yvette left. They were all clueless because they have been deceived. They have been played but one thing for sure, Yvette got them out of that trouble after they confirmed the travelers' invitation to be their ally.
Joilene slowly let go of Yvonne's hand and Luhan pulled her away from the travelers. Again, for a million-th time, they put all of their hopes up and it ends them getting disappointed.
"Please I demand you to leave" Tricia pleads while holding back her anger. Jensen wasn't there and it bothers everyone since this morning.
"We won't be leaving not unti—"
"Will you just please leave? We won't be listening any of your lies 'cuz we were too full of them!" Tricia burst in anger. Her lips were trembling and she felt a strong powerful rage that made her do things she doesn't wanna do.
"Just please hear us out" the merchant begged and Tricia snorted that made everyone look at her.
"Give us reasons to hear you out! Do you think we will be able to believe in what you are saying? Yvette came and told us, everyone that you had a deal with her and you expect us to hear you out? Are you insane, stupid or both?!" Tricia ask sarsically and she was taken back when she saw Yvonne's eyes glow in while light.
"I know this is going to happen but coming here is a risk to our kin. I know you may not accept out invitation but at least let me give this message for you. The veil has been lifted, Kris is dead, Jensen is back and Yvonne meets Yvette. Those were the cue for the real battle. We won't take the risk unarmed and just so you know, eclipse will be tomorrow. Rain had official declared the battle"
D.O's POV
...Rain had official declared the battle"
That's our cue. We had our every citizen know the news. Some seems to be scared, sad, worried but we promised that we'll protect them.
Meanwhile, I was loading a gun with the others doing things like, sharpening the swords or helping the citizen evacuate. I was loading bullets when I took a glimpse of Yvonne. As much as I don't want to compare her to the twins, she look so much more like Yvette than Tricia.
They had the same hair color, face structure, cheekbones and all. Unlike Tricia, she had reddish hair, low cheekbone and she's smaller than Yvette. Tricia has also thicker hair and shorter hair than she twin does but still you can identify who is who.
"Yaaaaaaahh!!" I shouted while rubbing my hair. Some just throw an empty box at me. My eyebrows furrowed while I scan the room with any possible trace of that someone who threw the box at me. Just then, I saw Yvonne looking back at me while putting both of her hands on her waist.
"What are you looking at?" she asks while raising right eyebrows looking at me maliciously.
"Tch.." I snorted and gave her my famous death glare. Surprisingly, I saw her lips tremble and avoid her gaze at me.
I chuckled a little at her childishness. As much as I wanted to hate her for lying to us and everything but there is something inside of me that can't just hate her. I wish that wasn't because she look like my girlfriend—- or I shall say ex-girlfriend. I don't know if there's still a thing between me and her.
I shack my head in case that I would remove that thought from my head. I continue doing what I was doing. After I had my guns and all done, I proceed to the kitchen to help make some food for the evacuees.
