Eiffers POV.

I'm staring at the window from my office with a bottle of whisky in my hand. Warm arms circled my waist and kissed the back of my neck. Emily. I spun around as she smiled widely at me. I kissed her on her lips and savored her sweet honey taste and smiled at her.
"Rough day?"
"Not really. Just the usual" I answered.
The day at the office is done and thankfully I'm done with some paper works I needed to work on for the finances of my pack. Family business is doing good and my parents are somewhere in Paris having a months vacation. They've been travelling since I became Alpha and my dad entrusted me with our pack which I handled very well enough I guess. We've had problems with rogues but none that we didn't surpass.
I have struggled battling with Emilys father. We went to war to save the pack Emily left behind. We managed to move half of them back here and they pledged their loyalty to us. The rest decided to stay and was on Kendricks side. They injured half my men but no casualty and after they've lost the battle, Kendrick moved somewhere we don't know. Somewhere untraceable. I'm still tracking him down until now and I must say he's good at covering up his tracks and good at distracting and giving us the wrong directions.
When I took the role of being the Alpha, I dedicated my whole heart to my position and up to now that's what I'm doing. I don't want to let them down and I've managed to deal with issues and I managed to handle things with the help of my beta and my third in command.
A year after our graduation Annie and Theo decided to travel around the world and I gave them my permission and have informed all the other packs that they belong here and not to be harmed. Shelby and Enzo are still going on strong but me and Shelby had a gap in between. Guess you can say we stopped being friends.
It started when I decided to give Em and me a chance. I had to do it upon my fathers request and I had to think of my pack. They wouldn't have been at ease if I treated my luna with contempt and no good. So I decided to give in a little and since then I managed to tolerate her. My wolf helped me go on and eventually we've come to know each other deeper. I figured she's not as bad as I thought she was. There are moment where I see the light of goodness inside her but there was always something that held her back, something I couldn't decipher. She had been a puzzle, her mood swings, her silence, her almost pretend rudeness and everything in between to the point that I can say I still barely know the real Emily.
When it comes to me she's totally sweet and caring and very thoughtful. Possessive but she listens to me and some how gained my trust. She does every thing I say so I had to be careful with the things I asked her to do. She and Shelby always clashed and at a certain point I caught them arguing and it was too heated that they were on each others neck I had to immediately separate them before it went ugly.
Shelby had scratched Emilys neck and instinctively I took her side and with my wolf's rage I pinned Shelby on the wall meaning no harm but just the initial reaction of my wolf and said some words that were out of anger. I didn't mean it and she gave me the stern look she gives to people she dislikes. Emily cried to me and told me that Shelby was threatening to kill her if she didn't leave. I stood there and humiliated Shelby in front of the other wolves that were around by that time and Shelby just stood there and gave me a look of disbelief. She never said a word to me since then, she never even looked at me. She bowed out of respect that I am his alpha but that was it.
When Enzo learned what happened. He didn't confront me and still kept on with his duty as a beta but he too didn't say a word about what happened and he stopped being a friend. Guess you can say I lost my best friends. Enzo plays his role as beta and that's it. I tried to bond with him like the old times, I tried to some how compensate about what I had done but he didn't give me any chance and I understand that. It was my fault, I should've listened to Shelbys side but when I tried to make it up to them outside our positions, they chose to be civil and casual and not more than that which I had to respect so I stopped trying.
