Avie's POV.
Okay. Its been 2 days and I still haven't got any idea where I'm going to place Emily in the office to keep her busy. I've been asking ideas and some are definitely right enough but I'm sure it would cause her to explode and we don't want that. At least not now.
Yeah, some staff suggested she work under floor management. Mopping and garbage management. Wash room jobs and all that. They clearly want her to learn her lesson. And the lesson is for her to realize that she can't just step on people just because she's born all rich and powerful. The models who she maligned were kind enough to not press charges but never wants to work with her again. Those models worked hard for their career and its their way of paying for school and providing for their families and too bad they used to idolize Emily and were even thrilled to do a cover with her but after what she showed these girls, they are now against her and her selfishness.
Thankfully we also managed to set another deal with the magazine and the photo shoot will push through but Emily will no longer be the cover but Callie instead and to compensate on the trouble Emily caused, we offered the magazine one other photo shoot that Callie is willing to do for free of charge. She said she's earning enough any way and one free shoot would be just like the times she was just starting and it would also be good to boost her exposure and get more bookings.
I was going through some pile of files when the guard was holding someone behind the door. He came sweating whilst holding Annie in his arms.
"Sorry madam, she's claiming she knows you but she doesn't have a pass" the guard explained. I smiled back at him and looked at Annie again to make sure I was looking at the right person. No more glasses, wow! She has really grown hot! I mean totally hot!
"Its alright, you can let her go now. I know her." I told the guard which he promptly followed and bowed down to send his apologies and Annie laughed and took a bill and stuffed it in his pocket.
"Sorry I made you chase me" she said to her and giggled as the guard goes back to his post. Annie came running towards me and we hugged. She was jumping in excitement.
"Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! I can't believe its really you! I didn't wanna believe but now that I'm seeing you in the flesh and holding you literally, oh my gosh! This is all real and you are so freaking real and you are truly here and I am talking to you right now and wow! You look so absolutely beautiful and gosh I love your outfit and oh my gosh! Imagine my surprise upon hearing everything about what's going on here!..." she spoke non stop and I let her absorb the moment. Even I can't believe she's home.
"I thought you guys weren't coming til' the next 3 weeks or so" I said and she was teary eyed whilst holding my shoulders.
"I can't sleep thinking you're really here and I'm away. I just wanna see you." She said as her eyes were filled up in tears and she wiped it away with her hand. I gave her napkins and she smiled at me.
"I'm sorry, I just can't help but cry in joy. I mean, its really you" she said again and held my face with both her hands. I understand where she's coming from. She thought I died. They all did and seeing someone you think is dead is just really gonna bring about emotions inside and I felt the urge to cry with her but I had to keep calm as I was in the office and I can't show them any sign of weakness.
She pulled me in a hug again.
"How've you been Annie?"
"Oh my gosh you are talking." She said and I laughed.
