<<>>Avie's POV.
I'm on my way to Starbucks to meet up with Shelby and catch up. It's half past lunch break and I need an assistant pronto. I'm hoping Shelby would agree, besides she's not doing anything lately except for taking little parts in their pack and backing up Enzo from time to time.
I walk past the shops and instantly spotted Shelby, good thing she chose seats outside. I walked a little faster and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"So sorry, I didn't notice the time. Did you wait too long?" I asked and she chuckled and we both sit down.
"Don't worry about it! CEO of glam?! Come on! That's one tough crown to take!" She said smiling.
She's been aware of my plans, as one of my trusted friend; I told her all my plans except of course for the other agenda she doesn't need to know about. She's been supportive and happy for me at the same time.
"Yeah, It could really be hectic and not to mention exhausting."
We placed our orders and minutes later we were having coffee over a slice of peanut butter chocolate cake.
"So, how are you and Enzo?" I asked and she gave me that familiar smile upon saying Enzo's name. It's clear and obvious they're still very much in love with each other.
"We've been really great and..." She said as she slowly held up her hand to me and there goes that shining diamond ring wrapped around her finger. I stood speechless for a while before I took her hand gracefully to admire the diamond ring. I covered up my mouth and stood up to give her a squeeze.
"Congratulations Shel!!! I'm so happy for you guys!" I said and we hugged for a little while.
"Will you be my maid of honor?" She asked as I slightly brush off the tears of joy that slipped and nodded.
"It would be my honor! Geez I'm so excited for you 2!" I was in no doubt happy for them, knowing exactly that they will come to this point.
"When's the date so I can clear it off my sched?" I asked.
"Ohh you better! 6 months from now and I don't care how busy you are but if I need you for some ideas, I will break in your office if that's what it takes." She said like the old Shelby back in high school threatening in a cute humorous way.
"You don't have to do that, you can always call me any time, I don't care what I'm doing or whatever I'm busy with but if you need me, call me." I said.
For the next 20 minutes or so, I let her tell me how Enzo proposed and the details of their wedding, who the planner is and where it would take place. I am thrilled and genuinely happy for them both. I guess I always knew it was them til' the end of time, they're mates after all. Then a thought crossed my mind seeing how happy Shelby is, I started to think and ask when will the moment of happiness ever come to me? Or will it ever be?
I wonder if I'll ever be in love again and be as happy as Shelby is right now and how it feels like to plan my own wedding, what flowers would be used, what food to serve and who would be the one waiting for me down the aisle to spend forever with? I am married in some way, I even use his name but it's not the same as a real true one and we both know it.
Pushing bitter thoughts away I put up a smile and diverted my attention in asking Shelby what I really came for but before I could do that I excused myself to call up Glam's top designer and asked him to design a wedding gown that will perfectly fit Shelby. I got back to my chair and grinned at Shelby.
"You're gonna have to come with me in the office some time, we need your exact size." I said and she furrowed her brows.
"Exact size? Are you asking me to model for you?" She was giggling about the thought of it.
