Godiva's POV.
<<>>
I lived a hundred and I've come across different types of creatures and humans. I chose to wander on my own and lend a hand to those worthy of any help I could offer. Basing on my experiences, I've learned to read peoples eyes and take a look deep within their souls. I can tell which heart is filled with pain and which heart is filled with complete bliss.
I have practiced my craft and very mastered my strengths and learned how to deal with my own weaknesses. I was born with this gift and I intend to use it but I vowed to use it in accordance of my own beliefs and in accordance with what my ancestors had taught me. In our world, we have rules, even if you step out, you need to follow or suffer the consequences that will not merely focus on you but the ones who are dear to you. The punishment of breaking our laws is simple. You break the law, you lose your abilities and they take away your skills, they drain you and you'd be as good as nothing, that's why even if I'm away, as far as I am, I live by the rules for I know that some eyes are watching me.
I've been helping since I first practiced my abilities. Little or big, as long as I know I've helped, it brings me joy. A joy that money and power can never buy. A joy that will be with me til' my dying days.
I don't intend to stay here for long. I have plans of going to places where I can be of help, but I won't leave until I'm done with the mission I've set upon myself. I ought to watch destiny unfold, I ought to lean on my beliefs.
As I scan through the old books digging from the 1300's. I landed on a story where a similar case as to Avies case was written. I picked up the book and relaxed on my chair and flipped it open.
"Belle was born human but upon her birth, she was diagnosed with a brain deficiency and was believed to not last for a day or 2. Her mother had died giving birth to her and her father was in shambles and had succumbed to his depression and went astray. One night when he was going home drunk and he claimed he bumped into someone strange and cold which in his drunken state triggered his annoyance to uproar which led him to reprimand the stranger for not even apologizing for bumping into him. The stranger did not say a word ignoring the mans whining. Belle's father wasn't pleased and so he took a step forward to where the stranger stood and pulled his shoulder back so he'd get a sight of the man.
When the stranger was then pulled to face him, he was greeted with a wide mouth and the next thing he knew, he woke up just beside the dumpster with a terrible exhaustion and a horrible thirst. He went home and was informed by the hospital that he had to go and see his daughter before it was too late. He reluctantly went to the pediatric ward and saw his daughter fading out of life. He sat beside her until the evening and refused to leave thinking what he'll do with his life.
In the middle of the night, he started his transistion and unable to understand and control himself, he stumbled upon his child and bit her. Upon realizing what he's done, he rushed out and was never found since then but Belle survived and was adopted by the stranger who bit her father. She grew up and fell ill when she turned 18. A year after her birthday she fell ill and one doctor of their kind suggested it was her human side having troubles and the blood they fed her as rejected by Belles system which led them to bring her to a human doctor and that's when they found out, she had a brain tumor that was rapidly growing.
When she turned 21, she was too weak and the stranger decided to bring her back home and bite her once more believing she'll be alive. On the night of her 21st birthday, she was bitten but she never woke up the next morning. The stranger then started to investigate why it happened and he came up with the conclusion that when a human is turned, it doesn't mean, they are fully one of them and being a half breed comes with struggles growing up and no one survived past their 21st birthday.
