The lake bridge bloomed with flowers every where. This is so unexpected I thought to myself. I had to look a couple of times to make sure I'm on the right lake bridge. It's surrounded by different flowers, the water just as clean as it used to be. It was perfect before and even more perfect now. It's obviously well taken cared of. I look around breathing the air that I longed for. I let my ears dance with the rhythm of the birds chirping and the butterflies flying around. Just the beauty of this place makes me feel home.

I savor the moment when a load squeal came from behind. I saw Shelby running towards me with such a high pitch tone. The same Shelby who once was a ball of energy.

"AVIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" She yelled as she jumped on me and squeezed me in a hug. It was so tight it felt as if we haven't seen each other in forever.

"Oh gosh... I never thought I'd see you again!" She said as I savor the moment of having my best friend with me. I missed this chic.

"What's up Shel?!" I asked excitedly as I rub her back.

"I can't believe it's you." She said as she hesitantly let me go. She held my arms and smiled with tears in her eyes. She brushes it away as I smile at her.

"How've you been Shel?" I noticed she matured in her style, in her demeanor but still a lovely one.

"I'm supposed to be the one asking you that question! How are you!? It's been what? 5 years! And damn we thought you were really gone forever! You can just imagine how horrible it was to receive that damn news! I'm so glad you're really here Avie. I missed you so much you know! We missed you a lot." She started babbling and wouldn't stop. Just like the Shelby I know. I watch her amused as she continues to speak and waited till she absorbed the facts of me being here for real before I said a word.

"Well I'm here now and I'm not going anywhere at least for a little while." She pulled me again in a hug as we hug a little longer this time.

"You better be. There's so much we need to catch up on and I want know every detail of the last years of your life." She said as I drag her at the end of the bridge and just like the old times, we looked at each other and knew what we had to do, we took off our shoes and soak our feet in the water as we lay on our back and stare at the sky.

"So what happened Avie? What happened to you?" She asked when we both finally settled in our minds that we were once again face to face.

"Trust me Shel, you don't wanna know." I said as she tilts her head and looks at me.

"Okay if you don't want talk about it then I won't pry but at least tell me how you've been?" She asked.

"I've recovered well and good as you can see, being locked up was a struggle, was a challenge but I got by. Me and Landon helped each other through our world and we're keeping the peace up to now. It was tough but I grew personally and learned a lot too. That's pretty much what I've been doing for the last few years. I've been busy with the position I hold but it was all good. How about you Shel? How are you doing? How's Enzo?" I asked.

"Well, everything changed." She said as she stares back in the sky.

"I guess it's inevitable." Of course time changes us too, and there are things that aren't meant to remain the same. We weren't kids anymore that's for sure.

"Yeah, since you've been gone its like we all drifted apart. Sometimes I wonder how it came to that point but all I could do is just face it and deal with it as always. There's something different about you tho Avie, I just can't say what but yeah, like you said changes are inevitable." She said.
