Red Son's POV: It was getting quite Late. It was a clear night sky. With only the moon and the lanterns giving us guidance. The image wouldn't leave my mind like a fly constantly coming back and flying in your face. Regardless of how many times you away it away. Noticing Tang walk over to the map I walked over to him.
Red Son: "Where are we going next?" He turned back to me.
Tang: "The next stop is Xuěshān. A snowy Mountainous Region. So might wanna grab a coat."
Everyone was listening in at this point.
Pigsy: *Yawns* "Great. I love Freezing to death." He said sarcastically. As we neared closer cold winds began blowing. I didn't really feel the effects of it but from everyone else's reaction it was bitter cold. Landing, we all got ourselves prepared as the wind howled around us. We decided it'd be best to stay in a group this time to avoid getting lost. We walked for what felt like a forever. I noticed Mei was hugging herself tightly trying to stay warm as the wind threatened to push us back. For some reason I felt almost a tint of guilt.
Tang: "H-hey guys! Don't you t-think we s-should find somewhere t-to camp out for the night!"
Sandy: "I agree, it's t-too c-cold."
Red son: "But we might find the piece faster an-"
Mei: "T-there's always a t-tomorrow. We're tired, c-cold, and m-miserable. If we keep going like this we'll freeze to d-death." She stammered. I didn't want to stop but I can't just let them suffer I suppose. I sighed.
Red Son: "Yeah, your r- You've got a point."
Pigsy: "But where? We can't just turn back and go to the ship cause of the storm." We looked around.
Mei: "Hey! W-what about t-there!" She pointed to a cave a little farther up the mountain.
Red son: "Good eye." The cave wasn't huge but it was enough to get us out of the wind. Everyone took a sigh of relief as I created a fire for us. The pig even offered to make us food. As I sipped my bowl I noticed Mei was still shivering a bit.
Red son: "Are you alright?" I asked. She perked up.
Mei: "Hmm? Oh yeah I'm fine. Still just a bit cold but I'll be alright." I couldn't help but feel bad for her. She has been very helpful and at least isn't totally annoying like her BFF, or whatever. I awkwardly scooted over a little bit. Thinking maybe if I got a bit closer I could warm her up that way.
Red son: "Anyway I could help?" She looked at me then smiled. Then she scooted closer to me and to my shock rested her head on my shoulder.
Mei: "This'll do." I felt my face turn every shade of red imaginable. She must be really tired. I usually hate when people touch me unless their my mother or father but this... felt different. I gently wrapped my arm around her shoulder. Not wanting to really wake or move her. I felt my eyes begun to get heavy too. Guess taking a pit stop wasn't so bad after all.
