Twiddling a kunai between my fingers out of boredom and slight nervousness for the next exam, I walked over to my team, Gaara was glaring at me but the others had confused looks on their faces because of their brothers hostility. I sighed but stood next to Temari as Gaara didn't look happy to see me.
"Whats his problem? I thought you two were dating..." Temari whispered with a smirk as she said the last line.

Sighing again out of frustration and lack of motivation to deal with this, I replied, "I don't really know, I don't think I did anything to annoy him. Oh and for the record we aren't dating we are just friends... besides, we are only 12! Calm down Temari..." I whisper-shouted back. This was getting annoying, she's always teasing me about Gaara and because she's not close to Shikamaru yet, I can't tease her back. Oooooh just you wait Temari...
"Uh-huh... suuuure. Just friends..." Temari said, unconvinced of my earlier statement. Rolling my eyes I walked off towards the gate where Anko was giving instructions to the rest of the Genin, where a square cardboard box with the texture of a rock, moved towards Naruto and his group. Naruto glanced at it, squinting his eyes out of suspicion, trying to figure out what the strange "rock" was. He took a few steps away and the box followed him, copying the motion a few more times that ended like the first, before long Naruto was sprinting away with the weird box on his tail, or nine of his tails. All of a sudden Naruto came to a halt and quickly turned around where the box skidded to a stop before him. Naruto then put his hands on his hips and closely examined the strange object following him.
"Hey Konohamaru! What is it you want?!" Naruto exclaimed, pointing his finger at his 'unsuspecting victim'.
"Just what I expected from the man I respect, MY RIVAL! Good job figuring it out!" Konohamaru announced from inside the pitiful disguise while everyone surrounding them sweatdropped. Then the box began to shake violently before it exploded into a mix of different pastel coloured smoke. Right in the middle of the explosion was Konohamaru and his little gang of preschoolers, but all I could think about was how the hell did they all fit in that box...
"Too much gunpowder!" Konohamaru whined whilst coughing his lungs up. The gang agreed before standing up for their introduction.
"I'm Moegi the sassiest kunoichi in preschool! Check me out!!" Pufferfish shouted, jumping into the air a doing some pose.
"I love algebra, call me Udon!" The snot nosed brat announced. Literally, Snot. Nosed. Brat.
"And I'm Konohamaru! The number one ninja in the village! And when we're together..." Wannabe Hokage yelled out. I could feel the second hand embarrassment coming on....
"WE'RE THE KONOHAMARU NINJA SQUAD!!" They all added in sync, their goggles glistening in the mid-day sun. The other genin like myself were trying to hold back our laughter and nasty words back as Naruto spoke up.
"Yeah I knew it was you guys the whole time, what do you losers want? I'm getting ready to take the second faze of the chunin exam, and your interrupting me! I don't have time to be playing around with you guys now." Naruto added with annoyance hinted in his voice, to be honest I'd be annoyed too.
"No no boss! We're here for a special mission! An exclusive interview!" The hokages grandson and blowfish said in unison, Noodles nodding along. They were beginning to tick me off...
"An interview huh?..." Naruto muttered questioningly, his head in the clouds but seemed to show a little interest in what the brats were saying. The gang then confirmed saying it was for an assignment they had where they had to write an article for the academy newspaper, each of them wearing smug looks on their face.
"Yeah... that's why we came here to see you boss! Please cooperate with us" Moegi pleaded, her hands clasped over each other with the cutest look she could muster, making me gag. They then all began pleading Naruto who was enjoying his moment of fame. Naruto began to contemplate the interviews when there was a booming voice that could be heard over all the chattering genin.
"Hey over there! What are you doing?!" Anko, the proctor, yelled, causing Konohamaru and his team to cower in fear.
"Something about.... Academy newspaper...interviews?..." Naruto mumbled, oblivious to the tone of Anko. A wide smile then spread across her face as she scratched the back of her neck in awkwardness and embarrassment.
"Oh I forgot Lord Hokage was mentioning something about that... Hey Hey! Alright take a ten minute break starting now, for those who will be interviewed, don't embarrass yourselves!" Anko replied before changing the topic back to that of the exam. I tuned out the rest of what Naruto was saying to Konohamaru as it had nothing to do with me.
I finally came to my senses when I was tapped by Pufferfish herself, sighing I turned to face her and listen to what she had to say. "Hey pretty lady! You can come with, we need more people for the interviews!" She explained in a whiny voice, boy do I hat kids, and started to drag me away and towards a small room close to the forest. As I was being dragged away, I glanced back to see Temari snickering at me so I sent her a 'please help me' look which she responded to with a shake of her head and another smirk.

Was.
Doomed....
I was shoved into the room to wait for my turn as awkward nervousness filled me and I stepped in front of the camera when Naruto walked off with his hands behind his head.
"Introduce yourself Sand Ninja!" Konohamaru announced as he pointed at Noodle boy to press record, causing me to sweatdrop.
"I'm Y/n of the sand, my team consists of another 3 People, Temari, Kankuro and my best friend Gaara. Our team sensei is Baki... my hobbies consist of drawing, fighting, training, and sleeping. Oh and I love cats. I don't really have a dream other than protecting the ones I love from harm..." I answered unconfidently. I didn't really enjoy talking about myself, it gave other people an advantage over me, so I had to pick my words carefully.
A/n: Thanks for reading! Sorry if it was a boring chapter but it will get more interesting when the exam actually starts, so be prepared for that! Also apologies not updating in a while, but I've had a ton of work and just finished the last assignment/essay for the term! Yay! Also it is the last day so it sucks to have one then, but whatever.
