The second her alarm went off she sat up.

There wouldn't be a need for coffee today, Lilith decided, as she leapt out of bed. She barely slept. Excitement kept her eyes wide opened and her heart sputtered uneven breaths. Dream and Sapnap would meet her at the Denver airport in five hours, and Tina would be there to pick them up.

And when they got to their Airbnb?

Lilith couldn't inhale at the thought of who awaited them.

When she arrived at the airport, she all but tumbled out of the Uber and attempted to control the shaking in her knees. Her bag hung on her shoulder like a weight tht held her back; her anxiety tricked her into wishing that were the case. If she didn't calm down soon she expected to go into cardiac arrest because of the anticipation. It was like the whole of this young year prepared her for this moment.

She was finally meeting all her friends in person.

Lilith wanted to cry, laugh, scream; she was consumed by a tyraid of emotions and it was exhausting. Within five minutes of arriving at the terminal, the boarding process began. She didn't have time to sit or grab coffee or anything, which was probably fine considering she had energy to expend and her heart and hands shook like leaves. Every footstep jolted through her body and up into her head. The thumping clouded her vision with black clouds and she kept her eyes locked on the foor ahead of her until the edge of the plane door came into view.

Once she sat down, she felt the adrenaline disipate from her veins. She looked out the window and the brightness of the morning light bleared the view she had. Or maybe anxiety still distorted her perception.

Why was she anxious? Lilith wanted use the excuse that it was because of her scandal with Dream and then the miscommunication with Corspe. But she knew it wasn't that; Dream was trivial to her. Lilith knew that no matter what happened, she could push him away when he was upset and allow him to calm down then go back to him and he always accepted her. Her hands shoved under her legs against her seat as she thought about Corpse. Of course she was excited to meet Tina, Emma, Karl, Quackity; there were many people invited that she hadn't met in person yet. But Corpse? His name alone made her nearly pass out. Since their first night, Lilith imagined when he looked like, what he felt like next to her, what expressions came with his words, or what they looked like together.

It had been years since she dated anyone. To feel so involved with someone she had yet to see intimidate her; yes, that was where her anxiety rooted in. As the plane took off, she averted her gaze through the window. She had been caught in her thoughts for so long that she didn't realize so much time had passed. Lilith recognized that she wasn't afraid of Corpse not being who he said he was because that felt impossible. Lilith was afraid that he wouldn't think that she was who 𝘴𝘩𝘦 said she was.

There was nothing—that affected him and their relationship—that she outright hid from him persay. And the debacle with Dream was a spin off one time thing. Nothing that she could say or do would hurt Corpse because 𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 he didn't tell her that he wanted her to himself until after she slept with Dream. She sighed when her thoughts came full circle. She realized she couldn't think about her friendship with one boy without bringing the other one in on it.

Her heart leapt as she realized she hadn't checked her phone yet.
