In the morning, Lilith woke up with pain rushing down her neck. She looked to her side and had to take a few moments to remember where she was and what happened—

The new morning sunlight poured in her living room, she lay with Corpse on the sofa with the tv still on and a blanket haphazardly tousled around them. He too stirred awake since she moved so abruptly. She winced knowing how lightly he often slept. His hands were heavy on her back; they must have been like that for a while, him on his back and her on top of him. Anywhere they touched she was too hot and sweaty and she wanted to retreat but he looked so rested. Until he didn't.

His eyebrows furrowed as he awoke.

"Oh, hi," he said quietly when he noticed her staring.

"Hi."

What happened last night anyway?

Lilith tried to press herself up, but his arms wrapped around her and pulled him tighter into his chest. She let out a 'oof' as he pulled her in tightly, and she smiled as he turned on his side and held her against the back of the sofa.

"We slept here all night," she laughed. He smiled and brushed her hair back from her face.

"We did."

"Are you okay?" She asked. He nodded as his eyes closed again. His eyes were dark; he probably didn't sleep at all. "I'm sorry, we should have gone to the bed so you could have slept—"

"Lilith," he laughed. "It's alright. Honestly we didn't sleep that long anyway."

"What time is it?"

"Seven, I think," he said as he grabbed his phone. It was 7:12am.

"What the fuck? Let's go back to sleep. We can lay in bed this time." And when she struggled to sit back up, she froze at the sight on the coffee table. The tv was still on with reruns from a show they weren't even watching; Netflix auto play. And on the coffee table were a couple empty glasses next to a liquor bottle and multiple seltzer cans.

"Wait—" She gasped and that's when she felt the dizzy nausea over her head and stomach. Her hand held her temple as she tried her hardest to remember what happened. "Corpse—" Corpse also sat up with her.

"What?" He said easily.

"I didn't know we—" And his face fell when he followed her pointed finger to the table.

"You don't remember?" Lilith froze with a heated blush on her face. Nothing specifically memorable happened the prior night, right? They only watched tv together, rested, and... Fell asleep. At least she thought. She looked back at him and it made sense now why his eyes were dark and skin pale. She probably looked the same—definitely worse—due to how terribly she felt. "You told me a little bit of what happened and we drank and watched The Last of Us and then fell asleep.... I guess." He too must have forgotten after that point which didn't bother her since she didn't even remember that much.
