Zoe wiped her tears as she cried in her mother's arms. The only problem was no matter how much Zoe tried to stop the tears they just kept falling down her face. "Honey, Scott didn't mean what he said, okay? He loves you." Elise whispered brushing Zoe's hair back from her face.

"I know he does but – but what made him say that?" Zoe whispers closing her eyes tight.

"Can you please just talk to me?" Zoe whispered as the two sat in outside the Klein household. Scott sighed as he stared down at the ground avoiding looking up at Zoe or even looking towards the house. "Scott."

"I don't know what you want me to say Zoe." Scott mumbles, "I just  got told by my girlfriend, who is my soulmate that she has another soulmate and she didn't tell me. And you know what's even worst? She says that she chose him and that she loves him." Scott admits.

Zoe grabs Scott's hand holding tightly onto it, almost like she was afraid if she let go that he would just disappear. "Just look at me Scott. Please, just look at me." Zoe says softly. Scott turns his head with tears falling down his face. Zoe reaches out to wipe them but Scott moves his head making Zoe's hand drop.

"I gave up everything for you, Zoe Klein." Scott told her wiping away his tears, "But I never felt like my life was thrown away because I gained you. I gained you and your love and I gained your family. But why does it seem like the only thing you gained was Elijah's trust?"

Zoe bit the inside of her cheek to try and keep her tears at bay. "I love you Scott McCall so please, please just tell me what I can do to make this better for us." She begs Scott. She cups the side of his face making her boyfriend turn to look at her, "Please Scott. Just tell me how I can fix this because I can't handle you being mad at me."

"Compel your feelings away for him then." Scott tells her, "Klaus did it for Dexter when Matt died so maybe you-"

"Klaus did that so that Dexter didn't mourn. He still loved – loves Matt but he never gave him up." Zoe cuts off Scott, "You just want me to forget this person even if it means saving their life?" Scott sighs, shrugging. "No, no of course I want to help them but," Scott grabs both of Zoe's hand making the girl look at him. Scott flashes his read eyes making Zoe's shine back at him.
