"Are you sure that you have everything?"

Zoe laughs as she passes by the sign entering Beacon Hills. "Stiles, how many times did you pack and unpack my bags?" Zoe hears Stiles sigh, "I believe ten times?" Zoe nods as she tightens her grip on the steering wheel, "Ten times from you and somehow you convinced Hope to repack for me."

"Well, you can't blame me." Stiles argues, "You left me with Klaus as Hope and Hayley head to MIT." Zoe rolls her eyes as she glances down to the phone, "It was either be left with Klaus or take my dad's and stay in New Orleans with him and my mom for a few more days, remember? It was no fun being stuck with Hayley for me either, but it was better than me working and harming myself."

"I know, I know. Listen it was a crazy summer-"

"Crazy, fun summer." Zoe interrupts Stiles. "Yes that. But you're done with the magic right? You're done the books and done with the dark spells. What? Okay. I gotta go, princess, Klaus is calling for me. Call me later? I love you."

"I love you too." Zoe says staring at her moonstone ring on her left hand with a small smile as the phone beeps signaling Stiles' hanging up. Zoe sits in silence as she pulls up to her house and the lights are off.

It was weird for her to see the house dark. The house that became the safe haven for her and her friends over the years what was one he house that she hated to be in. She had some of her favorite memories here from her first date with Stiles to him proposing one last time to her.

She glanced down at her ring with a smile on her face but that quickly changed when she pulled down her sleeve and saw black veins going down her arm. She sighed as she saw out of the corner of her eye a light turn on in the house.

Elijah was home.

When Zoe left to drop Stiles off at the FBI program that Klaus got him into, by some miracle, she decided to stay knowing her parents were in New Orleans. She just didn't' need to be home with Elijah.

Elijah Mikaelson took a step outside the house, staring at the blue Jeep. Zoe and him looked at each other for a moment. Elijah smirked as he started to walk over to the Jeep making Zoe press on the gas and drive away.
