Tamagotchi

Miriam's Pov:

After Mei left Tyler's party Abby and Priya and I were told by Mei's parent's and Tyler's parents to help clean up. "I can't believe she threw us under the bus like!" Abby said angrily with sadness in her voice. I looked over to Priya surprised to see her small smile on her face. I started walking over to Priya but then I noticed something one the ground. Mei's Tamagotchi. I froze until Priya walked over to me and snapped me out of it.

"Hey Mir are you okay?" I picked up the Tamagotchi as Abby also walked over. "What should we do with it?" Priya said in her regular monotone voice. "WE SHOULD SMASH IT." Abby yelled "Abby, no even though Meilin may have thrown us under like 200 buses doesn't mean we should break her things." I said holding the Tamagotchi far above Abby's head just in case. She tried jumping for it a few times but then gave up.

Suddenly the Tamagotchi stared aggressively beeping and I started panicking. I looked at it and Robaire Junior started spontaneously dying. "I think its dying." Priya said gaining slight interest. "I say let it die, let it die, let it die, let it shrivel up and-" I cut off Abby by screaming "WHAT DO I WHAT DO I DO ROBAIRE JUNIOR IS DYING!" Priya took it from me and pressed one of the buttons twice and Robaire Junior decided not to die this day. "Dude how did you remember its name?" Abby said with a mischievous grin.

I felt my face heat up and I suddenly got extremely nervous. 'Think. Think. Think.' "I remember it's name because like 30 minutes ago Meilin screamed about how Robaire Junior is going to meet his dad." I said with a slight nervousness in my voice. It didn't seem that anyone noticed that until Priya started walking towards me. 'Calm yourself Miriam QUICK' She stood in front of me grabbed my wrist and checked my pulse. "She's not lying." Priya said in a different type of monotone voice then before.

"Priya how can you tell that I'm lying when you do that, you don't know my regular pulse do you?" I said now scared at the new tactic Priya has learned to see if someone's lying. "I know your own pulse more then you do." Priya said back to the regular monotone voice. I start to try and get away because now I am scared of what Priya has done to knows how to do that. Then i realized that there was not much else to clean up so i put the Tamagotchi in my pocket and continued working.

It was already pretty late by the time I got home it was around 10:30pm so I went towards the tv and my favorite show was on. Arthur. It may sound stupid and it kid of is but D.W. is such a cool kid. Even saying this makes me sound like I'm 40 years old. She just is such a rebel. If only she was at my school and she could start a rebellion against having to do so much math. But if it actually worked then Mei would be sad because she loves math and I don't want to ruin something she loves. Wait. Ugh I shouldn't be thinking about her because she threw us under the bus. But why can't I stop thinking about her. Every thought leads to her. Every single thing lead to me thinking of her eventually because of Robaire Junior. Wait. FRICKY FRACK I FORGOT ABOUT ROBAIRE JUNIOR! I checked on him realizing that he never even made a beep since he almost died an hour ago. I continued watching Arthur because what less do I have to do. I got tired and decided to go to bed.

I took out Robaire Junior to check on him and my thoughts kept going back to her. How much she cares about him. How much she cares about us. How much I care about her. How pretty she is. Wait. What. I was in shock of what i just thought of. Mei is pretty? I mean she isn't not pretty but why did my brain think that. I felt my face go red. She is really pretty but its totally platonic. There's no way I like her because girl's right? I didn't know anyone who be awake besides Priya.

WHAT WHAT DO YOU MEAN NOOOOOO COME BACKK

I didn't know what Priya meant by "I think Meilin likes you too" but i decided to not think about it much. I mean of course she likes me because I'm her best friends and that's like the bare minimum of being friends is liking each other. But what if she meant it in a different way? Wait. Hypothetically if she did mean it in a like like way she said "I think Meilin likes you too" meaning that she thinks I like like her. I can't possibly like her because I don't even like girls right. Well also hypothetically if I had a crush on Mei (which i don't) what would happen. I tried to forget about these 100% hypothetical things so I could sleep. Robaire Junior beeped. God damn it.
