Mei x Miriam

I wish she liked me the way I like her.

Hey guys sorry I didn't update for a few days bc I fell asleep. Its currently like 5:30 am at the time of writing this and the new owl house and amphibia episode came out so I can't sleep. I have also put some foreshadowing in some of these chapters but I doubt you caught on. A little hint is Priya hasn't told anyone else she was dating the goth girl. Anyways I have no idea what this chapter will be so good luck on reading.

Miriam's POV:

It's been a few days after the concert and all the girls are back together again. I'm so happy that were back together because I missed Mei Mei when we stopped talking. There's just one slight problem. I turn red whenever she's near me, talks to me and generally exists. Like really red. Like if I had a competition of which is more red between me and a tomato then I would win. She asked if I could walk to school with her today so I agreed. The past few days have been great though, not hearing Robaire Junior die every 5 seconds was great. I heard a knock at my door so I opened it to see Mei Mei. I turned red like almost instantly.

"Hey Mir... Are you ok?" she asked while studying my face.

"Yep I'm totally fine let me just get my back pack and we can leave." I said quickly. I got to the door and left with her.

"Are you sure you're okay? Your face is really red. Do you have a fever?" She said as I started to panic

"I don't know but I feel fine." I said trying to make her stop talking about it.

"Okay but tell me if something's wrong, no secrets right?" she smiled at me and grabbed my hand. I felt the butterflies in my stomach wake up and start screaming. It reminded me Robaire Junior screaming and dying spontaneously. I tried to calm myself down. I was not okay.

Mei's POV:

We had gotten to science class and we had heard people talking about a science project with partners. I hoped I got Miriam as my partner. My face turned a shade of pink. Me, Miriam working, together, at my house, together, together, together, okay at this point I'm just repeating myself.

We got to class and sat down next to each other. I looked over to see Miriam with less red on her face then before but she was still pink. We made eye contact and she returned to the shade of red it was before. Could she like me? No it was impossible she could never like me. Also she was already red before so it was probably whatever happened then. She was really pretty.

"MEILIN!" Miriam screamed getting me out of my thoughts. We were in the hallway going to lunch. What happened?

"Bro are you ok you've like spaced out for all of science class." She said.

"WAIT WHAT HAPPENED IN SCIENCE CLASS I DIDN'T TAKE ANY NOTES." I started to panic.

"Mei Mei calm down we only talked about the science project and partners. Don't work I took notes for you once I realized you spaced out. I get to share them with you because you're my science project partner." she said calmy. I calmed down then realized. Miriam was my partner. I got happy but then turned red. I had to work with Miriam. UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH why does she have to be so perfect. We got to out lockers and headed to lunch.

Priya, Miriam, Abby and I sat on the bleachers and stared at boys as usual like nothing ever happened between us. "Hey are you a triangle because you're a cute." I said. "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH." Abby said. I looked over to Miriam she looked slightly sad. Saying those things didn't feel the same anymore. It was because I like Miriam. Not these boys. I saw her walk away with Priya. I wonder what happened with them while I was gone.

Miriam's POV:

"She doesn't like me." I said on the verge of tears.

"You don't know that" Priya said trying to help.

"She obviously like guys more and even if she did like girls more I would still have no chance because she's perfect and I'm just this." I said crying.

"Miriam look at me, there has to be a reason she like girls right? The way she looks about you, the way she cares about you. You're the closest person to her Mir I'm pretty sure she likes you. She also turns red when she looks at you, sometimes panda, but also just general blush. If she doesn't like you I'll pay you $100."

"So you're that confident huh? What if I made her hate me and then I ask her out and she rejects me so I get the money?" I said

"I know you wouldn't do that." She said and she was right. "Are you okay?" She asked.

"Yeah." I said as she hugged me.

"Thanks Priya." i said

"No problem dude what kind of friend would I be if I didn't help you?" She said smiling.

The bell rang and we went inside. The hours sped by like minutes as we went through classes. Before I knew it, it was then end of the day and we're were going home. I was walking home with Mei again so I grabbed my stuff quickly waited for her.

Mei's POV:

I saw Miriam by her locker and walked up to her. "Hey are you read to go." I said and her face turned a slight shade of pink.

"Yeah lets go." she said

We walked for a while when I saw her texting Priya. I don't think Miriam likes me. Something feels off about us. She seems like she could be avoiding me. She probably likes Priya because of of whatever happened while i was gone. I just wished she liked me like how I like her.

Sorry about the amount of time skips in this one. Tell me if you like multiple pov's per chapter or just one or two per chapter. Also I personally don't ship Priya x Miriam because well I wrote this fan fic and Priya x Goth girl is best ship but I don't care what you ship as long as its not illegal or just wrong. But for the sake of the story. Meilin does think Priya and Miriam are together. Don't worry, she won't think that by the end of the next chapter or around that time. Anyways hope you like the story. It took me like 1 hour 30 to write this bc its 7:05 *dies*.
