I Won't Lose To Her (ThomaxReader)

We get out of the restaurant after finishing up our meal and another two bottles of wine. I'm a bit tipsy, but I can manage. I grab onto Thoma again, to also somewhat lean against him. We're close to home after a few minutes of dumb conversation. He seems to have handled the wine just fine though. "I had one last thing before we turn in for the night alright? Stay here!" I giggled.

I came back with a few fresh lavender melons. "Are those lavender melons?" We sit under a tree and look up at the moon. Clouds covering it.

"That they are! Dessert.. hm.." I hiccup. "Well I guess fruit isn't the best dessert. But there's a rumor going around with them." I kick off my shoes. "These are fresh, so don't worry about them giving you a tummy ache." I rub my belly while giggling. The alcohol is really getting to me. I lay down and take a bite. The juice flows down my arm. I lick it off my arm and see that he's watching. "It's tasty. Don't judge." I pout.

"I uh.. ahem. Well these are my favorite. Dessert... a lavender melon cake sounds like something I could make. I'll try it someday for you." He smiles.

"You're not even a slight bit tipsy. Ho-," I hiccup once more. "ew. How." He just chuckles.

"You drank the last two bottles really." I probably did. Dandelion wine is nothing like the wine back home. I finish my fruit and look up at the clear sky.

"I'm sorry for so much Thoma." I slip my shoes back on. "It's really late now. Much much! colder too. So I'll be heading home. Enjoy the fruit." He quickly scrambles to gather the fruit and get up. I don't wait for him and start heading home.

Immediately my mindset turned into a work mindset. There is one small road that's still a main road.. could the guy have been talking about that one? Maybe I should check it out. I feel someone grab my wrist. "W..wait up will you!" It's Thoma. Of course he followed after me. "For whatever you're sorry about, it's all forgiven really." Forgiven.

"Liar. Forgiven for all your mistreatment?" He stays silent. "Whatever. I still have work to do. You don't have to follow me- I mean take me back home." I hiccup once again. "Next time we go out make sure I don't drink much wine. Or any alcohol. My tolerance is loooooowww." I giggle.

"Work..? I'll make sure you lay off the alcohol tomorrow, but you shouldn't be working this late!" He wraps his arm around my shoulder to steady me. "You're going straight to bed once we get you home!" I start heading in the direction of the small main road.

"Nope.. the guy from yesterday.. the road is this way. It's one of the only ones I haven't checked. Then home." Thoma tries getting me to stop. "Thoma just go. I can take care of myself." I try breaking free of his grasp.

"No.. you're tipsy and about to go fight hilichurls!" He's slowly raising his voice at me for once.

"There's nothing stopping me from leaving home once you leave. So I suggest we go together." He doesn't try stopping me now, but I can sense he's angry about it.

There is in fact hilichurls. Goods are all over the floor. All gone bad and, or smushed. "Tentaculum!" Water, in the form of tentacles, conceal both of my arms. Only up to my elbows. They move as if they were small ocean waves. Quickly I start smacking around the hilichurls. Feeling myself tire after a bit, I jump back to let myself recover. The tentacles dissipating. 

"Don't get too close!" I turn to see Thoma making a pyro shield around him. It was too late. He managed to burn my hand slightly, but I don't make a sound. To end this, but will ultimately tire myself, I send a wave of water over all the hilichurls.

"Sepia sea!" The wave knocks everyone down, and harms Thoma's shield, but he finishes them off. I fall to my knees in exhaustion and drenched in water. "Finally.. now we can go home." He holds his left hand out to me, but as I go to take it I realize it's my burnt hand. Quickly I retract it and stand up myself. "I'm perfectly capable." Quickly, I go ahead of him and start heading home, hiding the burn on my hand.
