A/N: One of Glory and Deathbringer's children (who will come later in the book) is Darkdew my friend, @Darkspark345's OC. For anyone wondering, yes I do have permission to use her OC. Pease go check check her of she is a really amazing writer.
Three months. She had been here for three months. You know, you would think with all that spare time I WOULD ACTUALLY BE ABLE TO REMEMBER MY NAME. Then again, is wouldn't have to remember my name if weren't for these BLASTED DRAGONS KNOCKING ME OUT LIKE IT WAS NOTHING. I mean, I think that they have a conscious. From what I've seen it looks like they have some emotions, even if they are shallow ones.
She supposed she might as well look around for an escape again, it wasn't like their was anything else to do. The place she was held in was actually quite pleasant. It was a wood hut, a rather large one, with vines slithering up every surface and flowers so bright you would think your eyes would fall right out of their sockets. There was a hammock in the back surrounded by scrolls, lots and lots of scrolls, and ink pots. There was a table in the center. It smelled sweet like some sort of fruit. It was hot and sticky.
Her cage was made of wooden bars, like one of those bird cages she'd seen merchants have, but bigger. She could see through them, but they weren't far enough apart for her to wiggle through.
Maybe she could cut through the bars. If she could just- Shoot, the dragons are back. Every time a dragon moved, it made a thundering noise, and she could feel it vibrate through her. "Growl, flurble growl" said what she assumed to be the queen dragon. She was beautiful, with her rich colored scales, and elegantly long neck. She also had this certain aura of "don't cross me." Trailing behind was that black dragon. He was ALWAYS next to her. I was like there was a invisible rope tied to them. She was pretty sure they were mates, he would always make the queen dragon smile, well more of an awkward suppressed smile.
It seemed they were arguing? Woah, they almost never argued. Hold up, am I assuming dragons have arguments, like with real feelings. Ok now I've really lost it. Whatever it was, it only lasted a few seconds before it fell silent. In the silence, the queen dragon glanced at me. I'm pretty sure I caught a small bit of pity in her eyes. No it's fine, don't feel bad about MAKING ME LOOSE ALL MY MEMORIES AND LOCKING ME UP IN A CAGE.
After that another familiar dragon came in, she was bright pink and yellow, just looking at her could make you feel at least a little bit happier. As soon as the queen dragon caught sight of the happy dragon, she looked relieved. They talked, and laughed for a bit till the happy dragon said "Growl growllll flurble snorf?" In response the queen dragon said "Mhhhm" in a "okay just this one time voice." Then they started to approach.
A panicked feeling came over her and she went into to full survival mode. She looked around the room and dashed to a section of my cage where a stiff sharp leaf was laying. I held it up like a sword, better than nothing. If these dragons wanted to have me for their evening snack, there's no way I'm making it easy for them.
