His name was definitely looking appropriate right now. This the unsettling dragon was the first to speak. They all spoke in tense tones. At one point in conversation, or possibly argument, the black dragon snapped and shouted at him. Trinit could immediately see the regret his eyes. After what seemed to be a fruitless attempt to calm down their child, he started to walk away. On his way out he noticed Trinit and stopped to look.
She tried to act like she didn't care as he stared intently at her. Ok ok, act normal. "Wow, he's a mess. When's the last time he slept?" she thought aloud "Flurble Grrrrr growl." he said. WAIT DID HE JUST RESPOND? It did kinda sound like he was agreeing. Then she thought about it. I have NO idea what this dragon can do. "NO NO NO. I am not letting some weird dragon talk to me." Oh shoot, he just me call him weird.
Mangoes. Talk about mangoes. "Mangoes are the best fruit." "Yeah, they sure are." he said. "I know right- WAIT." Did he just talk to me? "No, I just said some random words that kinda sound like scavenger talk. Of course I did." He said. She walk up to the bars and said "I DON'T KNOW HOW YOU CAN TO ME, BUT STOP!" "Someone woke up on the wrong side of the hammock, oh wait don't you sleep on a wooden floor? You are an animal after all." "NO I'M NOT, and I'm certainly not a scavenger or whatever you said."
"Whatever, I'm going. And by the way, it's Darkdew, not unsettling dragon. Cool nickname though." And just like that he flew away. This is terrible, just terrible! What am I supposed to do? C'mon there has to be something good about this. He can talk to me. Maybe if I can get on his good side, he'll help me get out and find that girl.
She DEFINITELY understood why his parents were so stressed. What had he done or was he doing that suddenly made them so nervous? Just then the queen dragon walked toward the c age while the black dragon went over to their hammock and layer down. When she stopped in front of the cage Trinit pointed to the door Darkdew had just exited and made an exaggerated confused expression. The queen dragon just shrugged like their was nothing going on. She then pointed to the door and made a talking movement with her hand. If the queen dragon wasn't going to tell her what was up, she sure wasn't. Trinit shrugged as well. The queen was just about to walk away when she said "Stop!"
Even if she didn't know the what the word meant she definitely got the memo. She pointed to the dragon, then at her mouth. The dragon pointed at herself and said "Grrrb." After repeated it a few times and getting the nod of approval from the dragon, she realized it couLd be her name or the word for dragon. To find out she pointed at the black dragon and said "dragon?" The queen nodded. When the queen pointed at her, she thought a moment then pointed at herself and said "Human." After a few attempts she gave the queen a nod. The queen said bye and went to lay with the black dragon.
The interaction almost made her forget about what just happened. As she replayed the events she started to really stress out. She felt so violated. No, no. I'm not letting this dragon consume my mind. If a evil dragon was messing with her, she was going to use it as an advantage. He'll help me, I know it. Even though she said that, something told her he wouldn't, and that things weren't going to be that simple.
