The day had been won, but at what cost? That was what Brandon had been thinking about all day. He hated him? Didn't he? ("He doesn't deserve this though.") Taiyo tried his best to get through to him, but it seemed Brandon had completely shut down. He still came to work, but he ignored his coworkers and boss when they tried to make small talk with him. He ignored them when they tried to comfort him. He only seemed to listen to directions. He didn't even pay any mind to the affectionate Seagorath. The lovable pet tried to nuzzle him, but he immediately turned around to sweep the floors.
His family, he also shrugged off. This worried them greatly but, they decided to give him some space. Although, they held out a little spark of hope, that Brandon would be alright again, and that his friends would recover. Gregore was off somewhere, leaving Brandon pretty alone. Brandon got home, around a week after the fight with the Dally and Gavadon. The people in critical condition were on the news, a painful reminder of what had happened that day. Of course the people in the party weren't the only ones who had gotten sick. Many other people around town, including the people who delivered the flowers around town. Brandon sat on his couch and decided to drink a Wise man's punch. He tried to enjoy it but, it just didn't feel right.
Taiyo tried to comfort him. ("Look, I'm sorry about what happened to your friends, I truly am. I know how it feels.....loss. I know it all too well.")
("No...it's my fault Taiyo. If I listened to you, none of this would've happened. My friends, Cash, and many other people would still be alright if I wasn't a idiot about it.") Brandon lowered his head. ("I thought we were going to protect this place. That even if we lost, we could come back better than ever. But, how can you train for something like this?")
("You can't, that is the reality of being an Ultraman. You can't protect everyone, you just have to put your best foot forward and try.") Brandon didn't respond. He simply walked over to to his bed and went to sleep. But, even his problems couldn't escape him in his dreams. That night, Brandon had to think things through.
Elsewhere, Alien Horologium was in his ship, facing a large screen. On it, was what appeared to be contact information. He typed in multiple commands, changing the screen to a different setting. He input the contact information and smiled as the large screen that was black with an assortment of cables making it connected to the wall glowed red. Then, he had heard a voice. It was gruff, and his voice had a more casual way of speaking. But it also sounded like his voice was muffled behind something.
"Who are ya, and whaddya want? You just interrupted my hunt!"
"Calm down, I understand that your race are quite the warriors." Horologium put his hand under his chin and bent down, in a thinker position. "And you all love the thrill of battle, whether it be hunting prey, fighting in wars, collecting bounties, or conquering worlds. And I have quite the interesting quarry that may satisfy your thirst for blood."
"And what is it?"
"An Ultraman. He is on Earth, and he is quite the combatant."
"A Ultraman huh? Alright, I'll travel to Earth, just tell me where he is and I'll get em." The screen then went black when the voice hung up; Horologium slouched in his chair and made a gagging noise.
"I can't believe I just complimented that red and silver barbarian."
MEG and IRS were in a frenzy. With the spike of strange cases going on and on, not to mention the media coverage, barely either of the organizations got much breathing room. When the captain at MEG was sitting in his office drinking tea, a bunch of men in black suits stormed in quickly. There was six of them present. Two of them guarded the doors, while three of them stayed back in the middle, left, and right of the room. The main one was tall and had black hair. He looked to be of Japanese descent and had sunglasses covering his eyes. He pointed at the captain while the captain still drank his tea nonchalantly.
