I sat on the plush green sofa in the Slytherin common room, my trunk packed in front of me. All around me students were coming out of their own rooms, lugging their trunks, and walking out. 

Goodbyes and promises were in the air.

Pansy walked over to me and sat beside. Enzo stood right next to me. "What a year!" She exclaimed, taking my hand into her own.

"We made it." I shrugged, leaning forward to give her a hug. She hugged me back.

"You better write to me so we can meet up in the summer." She said, patting my back.

"I will." I told her, now breaking the hug. I looked up at Enzo. "Quite the first year at Hogwarts, wasn't it." I smiled, standing up in front of him.

"I wouldn't trade it for anything." He smiled back. "I made some amazing friends." He opened his arms and I gladly walked forward to be enveloped by them. He squeezed me in a hug, and I hugged back.

"I'll see you next year." He said. I swallowed the lump in my throat.

"I'll see you too." I lied. 

We broke off from the hug and he stepped back.

"By the way, I haven't seen your brother around much?" He asked.

"Yeah... he's been busy with father and work. He doesn't come to school much." I explained.

"Lucky. I'd do anything to get out of Binns' lecture." Enzo joked, taking a hold of his trunk.

"Bye, Y/N." He smiled once more and started walking away. I waved goodbye to both him and Pansy and watched as they left.

I had not seen Draco yet come out. I was waiting for him. Dumbledore had cut the school year short. Instead of leaving before summer, we were all leaving as soon as possible. I had not talked to Draco since I last saw him after the tournament was over.

I desperately needed to talk to him, especially after the letter I had received from my parents.

-Flashback to receiving the letter-

A simple black note was placed on my bed. I walked over and picked it up. On the back, I saw our family seal on it, and I instantly knew it was from my parents. Anxiety filling my stomach, I sat down on the bed. I slowly ripped the envelope and took out the letter. I started to read intently.

Y/N, 

We heard what happened in the last task of the Tournament and we're sorry. It was never in the plan to have the Dark Lord try to kill you. But we all knew he was going to come back and now he has. Y/N.... we believe in his cause as a family. And because you are part of this family, you must do what the Dark Lord requires. Edmund, Draco, and all the other children that are part of the most powerful wizard families will also do what is required of them.

We want you to come home. Come home now where the Dark Lord awaits. You will not be taking the Hogwarts Express. Instead, you will be traveling through Muggle trains. It will take much longer than the usual Hogwarts express, but we need to make sure no one knows about this. Draco has been given separate instructions so do not discuss your plan with him.

We must do what we can to help the Dark Lord. It is our duty and we hope you understand that. We'll see you soon.
