'What is this...' She thought, bewildered.
Hennesse recognized her surroundings. It was a place she once was three years ago. But what made her bewildered was because the place no longer looked the same in the present.
'So how come I'm-'
"Ah.." She sighed in realization. Her hazy vision and clouded mind made her realize it was a dream.
Hennesse soon came to realize that she had no control of her body. She could do no other than watch through her eyes as her body moved on its own, repeating the past.
'Goodness, it's this heinous memory again...'
She wanted to curse as her body turned the knob of the door before entering a bedroom. Her body held a shaky breath as she stared at her dear lover, embracing another woman in his arms.
'When will I wake from this ugly dream? Hennesse groaned.
Her heart ached on its own as the man looked at her with an irritated expression.
'Look at that face... I want to slap it.'
"How long..?" Her quiet voice asked. It was not Hennesse who was speaking, but her past self.
"Ha..." The beautiful man scowled in annoyance as he frustratedly ran his hand through his soft golden hair. His golden locks were unkempt, so was his clothing.
"What are you doing here?" His irked green eyes were coldly piercing her, as if she was a nuisance. The woman in his arms on the other hand, only looked at Hennesse with a smile.
'This damned bastard... why did I even waste my time on a man like that!'
"You said you felt ill... so I came and brought you food and medicine-"
Hennesse gritted her teeth upon hearing the words of her past self. She couldn't help but feel pity for her own.
'I was naive and foolish back then...' She thought. She couldn't do anything but watch the memory unfold from within her body.
"I never asked you to come here. Can't you see I'm occupied?" He bitterly told her. He always looked at her like she was a nuisance.
'He didn't even bother to hide or deny it.'
"You told me you liked me and we've dated for so long... You even told me you'd marry me, yet you're with another woman?"
She sighed from within. She couldn't bear to see the infidelity in front of her.
"The woman I will marry is not you. It is Cecilia."
Her throat ran dry, unable to speak a single word. Hennesse felt the heavy emotion dawn upon her. It was not hers, but her past self that felt that. The stinging in her heart was like needles prickling from betrayal. The words of her beloved hit her like boulders of rock.
"Ah... darling..." The woman in his arms whispered.
Hennesse gritted her teeth, feeling the rising resentment toward the pair.
Her hands clenched the handle of the basket. "Then..." She trailed weakly.
"Was everything you told me lies?" Her past self asked the man. The pain in her voice was evident.
'Right, who knew that this scum was good at acting. He put on smiles and all, and even took me to places and told me romantic things I foolishly believed.'
"Can't you leave already?" Said the man, clearly irritated.
"Devonne, how long has this been going on..? At least answer that."
