Hennesse dizzily looked down as the carriage rattled. Because of her motion sickness, she felt nauseous from the shaking of the carriage.
'Ugh...' She was drained as her head continued to spin.
"Do you feel unwell, Inesse?" Devonne asked worriedly, noticing that she was oddly quiet.
Hennesse nodded, unable to talk as she was afraid that her system would give in to the nauseous feeling.
Hennesse's brows furrowed as she felt a soft warm hand gently pull her head, laying her on a broad and hard shoulder.
"You can rest on me like this until we arrive to lessen your motion sickness." Devonne softly murmured into her ears, wearing a gentle expression.
Hennesse just kept quiet, not bothering to complain nor say anything as she didn't have the energy to do so. Her vomit was threatening to erupt.
Her hands unknowingly clutched onto his muscular arm as she rested her head on him. She closed her eyes, hoping to sleep through the bumpy journey of the carriage.
"Don't worry, we'll arrive to our home soon." He assured softly. Unlike his usual lifeless days, he had now become lively and full of life. Devonne smiled as he gently rested the side of his head on hers.
"Rest well, my darling." He spoke tenderly to Hennesse's ear, who was already fast asleep.
Hennesse stood dumbfounded as she stared at the drawing room of the castle. She couldn't help but wonder. How come the decorations were quite spectacularly in specific colors?
"Do you like it Inesse?" He asked with a bright smile.
"Yes... very nice."
"I'm glad!" Devonne happily said.
"Come, dear. I'll show you the garden now." He spoke excitedly, gently taking hold of her hand as he intertwined his fingers with hers. Devonne dragged her into the quiet hallway.
"You have-" Hennesse blinked at her mistake.
"We have a garden?" She asked with furrowed brows.
'Why is everything in here...' She trailed as he pulled her along. Hennesse was glancing around, looking at the lavish floral decorations.
"Why yes... you love flowers a lot so I grew a garden for you." He turned to her with a bright smile.
Hennesse couldn't find the words to respond to him.
'It's overwhelming... Why did he say it was for me..? Surely I must have misheard?'
'Ah, perhaps he grew the garden for Cecilia but claims it was for me.' She thought.
Hennesse was unsure whether to be pleased or be weirded out. She was wondering why he would grow a garden for her when he left her for Cecilia.
'He's really untruthful. How dislikable.'
She let Devonne pull her to the direction of the garden while gently holding her hand. He looked rather jolly like a child who wore a very radiant smile.
Soon after, the warm rays of afternoon sunshine greeted them as they stepped outside the castle. The view of the beautiful garden immediately entered Hennesse's sight.
