Hennesse was awkwardly sitting in the middle of the long table, quietly eating while amidst of ignoring the growing tension.

The three new workers were seated right beside her and in front of her, looking at her while immensely glaring at each other. The dining room was filled with nothing but silence, except for the small few sounds of steel utensils and plates that erupted once in a while.

Devonne, who was seated on her right, softly smiled at Hennesse as he carefully put a slice of ham on her plate. "Inesse, try this. It is your favorite."

"Thank you..." She quietly mumbled.

And right as he did, a loud clang echoed throughout the quiet dining room as Khairos, who was seated in front of Hennesse, abruptly stood up. "Honey, have more of this fruit. It is good for your health."

"Thank you too..."

Two pair of blazing eyes burned onto Khairos' head.

'How dare he call her honey.' The two thought in unison. Elhannes and Devonne's glare were as if looks could kill.

"You should also eat more vegetables, Nessa." Elhannes, who was seated on her left, smiled prettily at her as he called her name more intimately, leaning to her closer than he should have. And as soon as he did, two pair of eyes also began to burn on the back of his head.

"Ah... Thank you as well..." Hennesse's ears were burning from shame. She couldn't keep a steady nor direct eye contact with any of them as she only looked down on her plate the entire time.

'Gosh, I feel like a harlot.' She thought to herself.

She looked at the window, looking at the void dark sky of the night. There were no moon nor stars, but darkness. It was already quite late as she purposely decided to eat at a later time, hoping to avoid the three.

But when she entered the dining room that she thought was empty, she was quickly bewildered seeing them with their untouched food.

It was rather a blur that Hennesse found her situation escalating quickly in a very awkward situation.

'Dinner was at six, why are they still here at nine in the evening....' Hennesse quietly pursed her lips as she recalled how they all turned their heads toward her in unison as soon as she entered the door.

'Agh... the goosebumps I felt...'

Hennesse slowly cleared her throat as she noticed how they only began to touch their meals after she had arrived. "Why are you all eating so late in the evening?" She asked, hoping that the response she was to receive was not what she thought.

'Please don't tell me you all waited for me...'

"I waited-" Khairos, Devonne, and Elhannes paused, realizing they were all speaking in sync.

'Oh goodness.' Hennesse knew where their answers were going.

"I wanted to eat together with you, honey."

"I wanted to have a meal together with you again."

"I was hoping I could join you for a meal, Inesse."

They all spoke altogether at the same time.

Hennesse silently held the bridge of her nose. It was indeed what she had thought. She let out a disdained sigh as she looked at the three with a faint scowl. "All of you should have eaten earlier, you didn't have to wait for me at all."

"No, I wanted to-"
