"Did you fight?" She asked again.
They quietly stared at the ground, ashamed to admit the truth. Yet even without them answering her question, Hennesse could already depict the answer.
"...." They looked anywhere but her eyes.
Because after seeing her become angry earlier, it had made them behave for the whole day. Except when they battered each other, right after being shunned out of her room.
Hennesse heaved a disdained sigh as she held the bridge of her nose, stressed. "Do you know how many furnitures you've ruined?" She asked them, looking around the cluttered room.
"...." They kept their heads down, remaining silent from guilt.
"I'm sorry honey..."
Her gaze moved to him who spoke, meeting his apologetic yet pitiful face. There was one thing Hennesse did notice when she first came in though, and it was the fact that Khairos had lesser wounds and bruises compared to Devonne and Elhannes.
'Since he's from a strong tribe, he's stronger and bigger than normal people...'
Hennesse sighed once more, turning her head toward Elena. "Can you bring bandages and ointments, Elena?"
"Understood."
"Ah, bring that healing potion as well."
"Understood. Is there anything else, young madam?"
"No, that is all, thank you." After her word, Elena quickly left the room.
Clack
Hennesse held a broken piece of a shattered porcelain jar, ruined to doom, and so was the other expensive glasses and porcelains scattered all over the floor, all broken.
Chairs and tables was turned over, with some cracked and ruined. The never ending mess continued on as Hennesse counted with her eyes.
Only the unsettling white noise remained, as none of them dared to speak at Hennesse's presence.
Onlookers will surely speak of the sight, comparing them to a wolf, a dog, and a cat, quivering in guilt before their owner's cold glare.
She, on the other hand, was holding back the many blasphemous curses and profanities from escaping her itching mouth. Hennesse was on the verge of letting it all out on them.
"Hah."
But with each deep breath she took trying to calm herself down, it prevented her from doing just that. It was nothing but silence that remained between the four of them in that messy room.
"...."
As the silence got longer, Khairos, who could no longer bear the feeling of being a burden to Hennesse, finally parted his lips to speak.
"I'm sorry, honey...." It was him who first spoke and apologized for his fault. He, who sat before his wife couldn't handle any more of her coldness.
"Thank you for apologizing." She replied calmly.
"I-I'm sorry as well, Inesse..." Devonne followed.
"Me too.... I'm sorry, Nessa..." said Elhannes.
"Well then, apologize to each other."
Upon hearing what she said, they immediately rose their heads and looked at her, completely stupefied.
"W-what?"
It was obvious.
They would rather do anything but apologize to one another.
"I said, apologize to each other."
