𝐵𝑙𝑎𝑛𝑐ℎ𝑒＆𝐽𝑜𝑠𝑒𝑝ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑒

Josephine & Blanche were walking down the street, hooked onto their boyfriends arms. Josephine had been silent the whole night while everyone else was making jokes, laughing and living in the moment.

"Are you doing just fine now, Josephine?" Mikel asked, looking at me with a worried stare. Mikel asking me the question caused Blanche and her boyfriend, David, to look over.
"I'm okay, just a lil tired." I responded, wiping my eyes as a sign to show that I'm sleepy. Mikel took off his jacket and wrapped it around my shoulders and rubbed his hands over my back gently. Mikel was a sweetheart whenever he wanted to be, sad our relationship was no good. Blanche had been worried for my sake and wanted to send me home knowing I don't just get sad like this outta the blue, whenever I had been tired she always makes sure I get me some sleep.

"Ya'll, we should take Josie on home now." Blanche said looking at David and Mikel while nodding her head and gripping on my arm softly, with her other hand wrapped around my shoulder. I looked over at Blanche and smiled, smiled in a way that gave her the knowledge that I'm glad she's here with me.

"Ya sure, Josie is that what you want?" Mikel asked trying to assure, I had been so tired I couldn't even lift my head no longer and ain't feel like talkin so I just nodded. David inhaled an annoyed breath and patted his pants to locate his car keys, when he couldn't find em he reached behind Blanche and I, patting Mikel on the back to grab his attention.
"Hey man, do you got your car keys on you?" David asked, pissed knowing he'd lost his car keys. David was a blonde boy that was to good to be true, he was a real hunk but I wouldn't get that close, I know my boundaries and plus i ain't even into him, he's just real sweet.
Mikel felt his pants just as David did and nodded, David nodded his head to gesture that he understood, David looked back over at us and grabbed Blanche and I's attention.

"C'mon, we gotta head to Mikel's hip of a car." David said laughing, Mikel laughed with him.
"My car ain't even that cool man." Mikel assured David, David rolled his eyes and stopped in his tracks.
"You're shitting me, my old man said he ain't gonna buy a car like that till I'm 35, said I gotta get it myself, ain't that dog shit?" David said starting back into his tracks.
Mikel had the car that everyone in our class wanted, a Lincoln Continental, some people would even come up to me asking if I'm just usin Mikel for his tuff car.
I always had to make sure they understood that I loved Mikel, and I wouldn't use him. Some folks believe me, some don't and I don't care. I mean, they shouldn't believe me, I'm not using him but I sure as hell don't love him the way he loves me.

"When we reach your home, do you want me to stay Josephine?" Blanche asked still holding onto me, I looked at her with nearly the last drop of energy I had and nodded. Blanche was always worrying about me, where I was (state of mind), what I'm doing, and where I'm heading out too. Yet, I don't blame her, I'm stupid and I do foolish things that'll make her leave some day. People think I never think about the things I do, but I do, i think about them and i never change it because people like it, and i like when people like me so I'll never be myself till the day that I'm dead.

Mikel looked annoyed, same with David and I don't blame them. I'm being a chicken head to them and I feel all types of sorry, but I just wanna go home, go home and get some rest.

"Are you sure about this Josie? You'd be making me upset if you leave you know?" Mikel asked, I looked him in the eye and all of a sudden got a pep in my step. "Can you just shut your face Mikel!? I don't give two damns if I'm making you upset, I'm tired and I wanna go home." I snarled, Mikel let go of me and backed away.
"What's your problem huh?!" Mikel yelled, aggressively pushing me in the shoulder causing me to almost knock over Blanche who was still holding me.
I looked at Mikel with disbelief, i never woulda thought he'd touch me like that in public.
