Ellies pov
I woke up quite early, which is unusual for me on a school morning. Like always I threw on a hoodie and joined my brothers. Except Ash was still asleep. "Yo, you're up early" Fez says, confused. "Rue's coming over. We're walking together" I say, happy. "Cool, how you feeling?" he asks and I reply with, "surprisingly good".

"No anxiety? Panic attacks?" He asks, hopeful. You see, ever since I was young I've had anxiety and panic attacks. Especially when it comes to school. Normally I have a panic attack before school every morning. Fez is good when it comes to shit like that though. I mean, sure he'll give me a joint to calm down but he helps stop the panic attack getting worse.

"Breakfasts on me, sis" Fez says and I nod and go into Ash's room. Me and Ash always pull pranks on each other, it's just our thing. I see he's still sleeping so I grab a bottle of cold water and just pour it on him. He instantly wakes up and gives me a death stare. "You fucking bitch. Imma kill you" He says, jumping up and starts chasing me. I run behind Fez, who's confused yet laughing at Ash who is now dripping wet.

"Fez, move the fuck out of the way" Ash says angry. "Nah, come get her yourself bro" Fez says, smiling. "I'm gonna fucking slap you Els" Ash says annoyed. "Aw, lil baby Ash is angry" I say, teasing him. "You know what, fuck y'all" he says, flipping us off and returning back to his bedroom. "That was a good one Els" Fez says, high fiving me.

Once I got dressed and ate breakfast, Rue arrived. "Good morninggg" I say, answering the door to her. "Morning El" she says, smiling. "Ready to go?" she asks. "Hold up, lemme grab my bag then I'm ready" I say, grabbing my bag from the kitchen.

"Here's your lunch, make sure you eat" Fez says, handing me my lunch. I see Rue standing in the corner laughing at him being so soft. "Thank you, love ya loser" I say. "Be good, call me if you need me. Love you kid" he says and me and Rue start walking to school.

As we walk, we start talking more about ourselves. "So you're 2 weeks clean, right?" I ask, hoping it wasn't too soon to ask. "Yep, I have meetings and shit so I kinda have to be" she tells me. "How you feeling, you know after rehab?" I ask. "I mean after I gave my life away to my lord and saviour Jesus Christ, I've been great" she says, seriously. "Word? That's what's up" I say and she bursts out into uncontrollable laughter. "I'm fucking with you, El. But you and Fez had the exact same reaction" She says and I laugh.

"Nah but seriously, I'm doing good right now" she says and I smile. "What about you?" she asks. "What do you mean?" I reply. "You mentioned your anxiety and stuff" she says and I nod. "Well today was the first day I've managed no panic attack before school in at least a year" I tell her and she smiles. "Shit, that's amazing" she says and I smile back. "I haven't known you long but I can tell we're gonna be close" Rue says and I agree.

"I'll meet your in the cafeteria at lunch, okay?" Rue tells me before we separate to go to our separate classes. "See you then" I say. When I'm alone I search for my airpods but I can't find them anywhere. "Fuck, I forgot them" I whisper to myself. Clearly I wasn't looking where I was going because I walked into someone, resulting in us both falling on the floor.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry" the girl says. I look up, it was Jules - the girl Rue fancies. "Shit, that was my bad. I'm sorry I wasn't looking where I was going" I say and she just laughs. "It's all good. You okay? You're not hurt or anything?" she asks worried. "I'm good, you?" I say and she nods. "I'm Jules" she says smiling. "I'm Ellie" I say. "I guess I'll see you around" She says as we depart.

I see Rue watching, laughing and blushing from her locker. She clearly witnessed the whole scene. "Fuck El, I wish that was me" she said. "Girl, you're blushing like mad" I say and she gets even more embarrassed. "Shut up!" she says quietly.

"So who did you normal hang around with?" I ask Rue. "Some randomers. I have Lexi, Maddy, Kat, Cassie and BB. But I'm only close to Lexi. We've been friends since preschool" she tells me. "Lexi Howard?" I ask and she nods. "She's in my math class" I say. Lexi seemed nice, but I'm too shy. "Wanna go to a party tonight?" Rue asks me and I look at her. "I don't know Rue, I'm not the party type" I say, honestly. "Pleaseee" she she begs. "Fine" I tell Rue, giving in. "Wanna come to mine after school?" She asks and I nod, making a mental note to text Fez I'll be at Rues incase he worries.
