Amaya and Rengoku along with another unknown yet friendly demon slayer bid their farewells to the shop-owner of the small place where they had finished heir late night dinner. Rengoku had taken her to this place in order to grab a bowl of udon before they left for their actual mission, but apparently, it was also posed as a meeting spot for a fellow demon slayer who had been instructed to locate the Mugen Train. That was their mission. Apparently, unexplainable deaths had occurred on a train station as well as a train by itself, and it was their mission to eradicate the demons causing this sort of ruckus. People had stopped daring to enter the train station where these casualties kept repeating themselves, so obviously the situation had already been running out of hand.

The train had been transported to a certain train shed near that station, since the conductors refused to make use of the vehicle anymore. That's where they were at this very moment, walking up the stairs of the dimly lit train station to try and inspect any ongoing trouble. Rengoku halted in the middle of the wide halls, looking to either side of him before switching his gaze towards Amaya. "Let's split up and inspect the halls for anything unusual there might be. Report back here once you're finished!" ordered the Flame Hashira, to which Amaya nodded her head and took the first left turn.

It was quiet around the premises, not a single person or demon in sight as far as Amaya could tell, so she continued her search, even looking inside some of the rooms to make sure she wasn't missing anything. Sure enough, everything was completely empty and as it should be. As she rounded the last corner, she was met with Rengoku's broad back, tapping him on the shoulder to grasp his attention. "Rengoku-san, I'm done with my routine. There's nothing unusual, yet it's oddly quiet. Did you find anything?" asked Amaya, to which Rengoku immediately shook his head with a low hum sounding from the back his throat. "Nope! I didn't spot anything out of order as well", responded the extravagant male, making Amaya purse her lips in thought.

Soon enough, the other demon slayer arrived back as well with a Kasugai crow, both of them speaking of the same as Rengoku and Amaya had, nothing unusual around the outskirts of the station. "There aren't any demons!" sounded a voice from behind them, therefore from inside the building and behind the bars that were keeping them from entering. The trio turned around, coming face to face with an elderly woman with grey hair and gentle eyes sitting behind a register, a younger girl with a hat and black pigtails sitting in front of the small area. A box was held in her hands and glasses were seated nicely on her nose, though a scowl quickly formed around her bright purple eyes as she turned towards the older woman.

"Just stop will you? I have to sell as many bento as I can! It's hard enough with my mother being pregnant, and I heard that father's shop isn't doing very well", complained the small girl with a frown as she looked towards the box in her hands. "You can leave that kind of worrying to us adults. I'll take care of things in the early mornings and nighttime by myself, okay?" reassured the sweet woman with a permanent wrinkly smile plastered on her features. "And what do we do if you get attacked by the Slasher too?!" snapped the girl suddenly, making Amaya tilt her head in slight confusion. The 'Slasher'? Did they mean the demon causing trouble around these areas? It was possible, so the purple-haired demon slayer was quick to follow after Rengoku as he slowly began entering the premises.

"Well, good evening! The moon is quite exquisite tonight, is it not?!" spoke Rengoku with a large smile on his face, his tone louder than ever. Amaya lightly bowed her head in greeting, showing her respect towards the people in front of her before standing straight again, her usual bored look on her face. "Good evening. We are searching for a demon. We were wondering if perhaps, you could've seen one", spoke Amaya, deciding that beating around the bush was only going to slow them down. Rengoku let out a loud laugh, patting the girl harshly on her back before nodding his head at the two strangers, signaling that he agreed with what she was saying. "Ma'am, is there something you can tell us?" asked Rengoku, but he was interrupted by the small girl standing protectively in front of her grandmother.
