City of Balhorose, winter. Reign of Anax Sillas Mors; Capital of Morssorsterra.

Everleigh stood in the less crowded market staring at the shrunken vegetables which is considered a treasure in this chaotic hungry season. The market in Balhorose was once the most crowded and noisiest of all markets in Morssorsterra but now with the befallen calamity, their city is undergoing their most troubled moments. The most crowded once a sumptuous market now looked almost empty except for a few sellers. She thought the calamity everyone was talking about was just a formulated rumor some ideal gossipers were spreading. But now, standing in the market, grim reality is beginning to set in. Food is scarce. Their electricity had been gone for days. There are no more animals to hunt in the bush. And now even drinking water is becoming difficult to acquire. Their kind are dying because of hunger and disease.

She used her last remaining money and bought some vegetables, trying not to think of the problem at hand. Shuffling through their once richest and the most beautiful capital in morssorsterra. She looked at her feet's and the ruined soil beneath it. Their soil is now useless, being unable to produce yields this season is devastating. If care is not taken, everyone will die. She thought through the rumors one more time, is the sudden befallen calamity true? Some are saying that Morssorsterra was cursed by an old female Neogapulla whose daughter was raped and killed by a royal family. Some are saying the king disobeyed the seven (wailons). But no one actually knows the real cause behind all their sufferings. Even with one of the most pious kings, it's difficult for the people of Morssorsterra to survive such befallen curse. If nothing is done about it, there will be no life left in the kingdom.

She shuffled through the ruins of the city feeling all hungry and alone. After the death of her parents, she's left alone to fend for herself. And ever since, her animal had disconnected herself from her. She couldn't feel her for months.

Everleigh wonders if her Neogapulla is still alive. But there was a time she felt a sharp stab in her heart and that's when she felt the pain her animal is going through. She's still mourning the death of her parents. She wished she could do something about it but she's helpless. She just wish her animal speaks to her even if it's once.

And oh! Everleigh hadn’t mentioned that the creatures in Morssorsterra are not mortals and are not from the earth. They are one of the most strongest animals in the universe. Their shape shifting ability making them special and different above all else. They are ferocious and cold blooded animals that feeds mostly on other animals. Though they have some similar features to Jaguar, they differ in lots of ways. A good example is their hairy features and they are much bigger than Jaguar's. They are beautiful creations. Everleigh taught of the last time she shifted. It had been eight months and she's weaker as days goes by. Tears burned her eyes as she thought of how miserable her animal is now. Everyday she had to fight the urge to walk to the nearby sea and drown herself.

Alone in his throne room in the palace, Anax Sillas Mors watched the beautiful blue sky through the large windows of his throne room. The sky was filled with stars, lighting up the chaotic city as if his people weren't suffering, as if everywhere was peaceful.

He diverted his gaze to the garden which had always been filled with flowers. Butterflies circling, jumping from one flower to another as the soft light of the moon illuminated the garden giving it a serene feel. He used to go down and watch them. In difficult times, he'd sit alone and think hard when it gets cumbersome to make difficult decisions as an Anax. But now, the garden is ruined.
