Y/n's POV

3 days, 3 nights. That's all that was left until I got to go home. Jackson hadn't talked to me since our fight but I couldn't leave knowing we left off on a bad note. I pushed myself out of bed and walked swiftly to Jackson's room. I knocked on the door three times and waited for a response

"Who is it?" Jackson called out. I sighed.

"It's the pizza man," I replied. Jackson went silent. I tried the door and it opened easily. Jackson looked up at me.

"What do you want?" He asked harshly.

"I want to talk to you"

"Well, I don't want to talk to you," Jackson whispered.

"What's your problem?" I asked, annoyed. Jackson didn't say anything.

"You know what, when you get out of here i want you to come to Encanto and live there"

"I have a family, Y/n"

"The madrigals are the closest thing to a family I have" I whispered. Jackson sighed.

"I know" I looked up, surprised by his answer.

"I'm not saying that I don't think of you as a brother figure but just because I have to go, doesn't mean I'm leaving forever. I'm going to do everything in my power to visit you as often as I can. That's a promise" I said with confidence. Jackson sighed.

"Want to watch a movie?" He asked. I knew he didn't want to talk about this so I didn't push him any further. The hospital had old computers that you could watch movies on. I climbed into bed beside Jackson as he chose a Disney movie to watch. We ended up watching Lilo and Stitch, one I haven't watched before. By the end of the movie, Jackson was asleep. I carefully slipped out of bed and placed the computer gently on his desk, trying not to wake Jackson.

Once I was back in my room I immediately crawled onto the bed. I held the stuffed toucan that Antonio gave me close to my chest. I felt like I was tired but sleep never came. Usually, sleep came in the early hours of the morning but this night it never found me. I pulled a chair to the window to watch the sun rise. I was leaving tomorrow. It felt... surreal. It felt as though when I first arrived that I would never be leaving. The door opened. Huh, Rose was early this morning. I turned around to be greeted with a face I would have rathered to not see again.

"I want to talk y/n"

"No, go away Ryder" I sighed, turning back to the window.

"I want to apologize"

"Great, now go away," I said harshly.Ryder huffed but took a seat in my spare chair anyway.

"What i did was wrong"

"No kidding"

"I should have gone after it a different way"

"I get it Ryder, now leave. You really messed me up Ryder. I feel like I'm constantly being watched or followed. I can barely sleep at night!" I yelled. Ryder hung his head in shame. I crossed my arms over my chest.

"I have nothing to say," Ryder whispered.

"Good, then leave" I told him while pointing to the door.

"I want forgiveness" He asked

"Ryder, i've forgiven you long ago but that doesn't mean that I'll ever forget. Now please leave" I asked. He nodded slightly and left. I let out a long breath and flopped back on my bed. Just when things finally calmed down Aurora burst in with tears running down her face.
