Y/n's POV

I woke up cold and feeling more alone than ever. The sky was a midnight black with little specs of the stars trying to peek through all the air pollution. I turned over onto my side. Should I go talk to Jackson? I didn't want to leave if he was angry with me. I pushed some hair out of my face and let out a long sigh. I finally ended up pushing myself up and out of my room. I slowly walked down the hall down to Jackson's room but paused before my hand connected with the door handle. Before I could muster up the courage to open the door it opened up before me. Jackson looked down to me.

"Want to come in?" He asked quietly. I nodded slightly as he moved to let me walk in. I took a seat on the edge of his bed and he sat down carefully beside me.

"I'm going to miss you so much," He said, his voice cracking. I sucked in a shaky breath. I wringed my hands tightly trying to figure out the right words to say. Jackson leaned over and grabbed two folded pieces of paper. He handed me one and kept the other one for himself. I slowly unfolded the piece of paper as if it was going to rip at any second. The bright blue color of Stitch caught my eye first. Pink flowers surrounded the border of the page. In cursive to words read

~Ohana means family and family means no one gets left behind~

-Lilo and Stitch

Tears pricked my eyes as emotions flowed over me.

"What is yours?" I asked, choking back my tears. Jackson unfolded his and a picture of Lilo was on his. The same pink flowers lined his page as well. The same message in cursive was on his page too. Now the tears flowed freely down my cheeks. I placed the picture down beside me and wrapped my arms tightly around him. Jackson hugged me back.

"This isn't goodbye, it's simply a see you later" I whispered with a slight chuckle. Jackson nodded slightly. We just stayed like that for most of the night. Eventually we ended our pity party and he came back to my room to help me pack. I laid out clothes for my walk back to Encanto. It was simple. Black legging and a dark blue hoodie that I'll just wear a bra under. I put my backpack by the door. I made sure I wouldn't leave anything. The toucan that Antonio gave me was the first thing that I tucked safely away. The bracelet Camilo gave me never left my wrist so I didn't have to worry about that. I flopped back on my bed and stared at the ceiling for the last time. This time tomorrow I'll be back in Encanto. This time tomorrow I'll be wrapped safely in Camilo's arms. This time tomorrow I'll be back where I belong.
