It's been a quiet few days. Kinsley is looking into apartments now that she's saved up some money. I've gone back to work, and the boys have started to go back full time as well.
The restaurant is slammed tonight, every table full in the dining room and the bar filled. Kinsley and I run around, taking orders and making drinks. I've missed the rush. I actually enjoy working. Sitting at home for more than a day or two drives me crazy.
The night continues on like this until an hour before close, and by then we're all exhausted. The clean up process takes a bit longer than usual, stocking as well.
"So, the boys asked me to go to a gala or some shit like that." I grumble to Kinsley as we share a plate of pasta Noah brought us.
"Ouu, that sounds exciting." She wiggles her brows, swirling some long noodles onto her fork.
"It's in Arizona. I don't usually leave the state. Kind of nerve wracking."
She looks at me before shrugging her shoulders. "Yeah I'm not even going to lie to you. They told me about the event, then gave me the money to order your dress. You're going to love it." Her wink at the end has my mouth slightly agape.
"If you say so."

A week has passed, and here I sit on a private airplane flying to a state I've never been too. I hate planes.
"Don't like planes?" Kaleb muses as he sits across from me. My head is leaned back with my head closed. He laughs when I flick him off.
"Relax, princess. It's a short flight." Mateo's voice comes through my right ear as he takes a seat.
"Easy for you to say, you guys are frequent flyers. I'm not used to this bullshit."
Mateo chuckles, taking my hand in his. It's us four, Xavion and Neil. After I was feeling a bit better, I got to actually meet the three of his men from that night and properly thank them. It still blows my mind how nice all of his crew are. I was expecting cigar smoking ruthless men with no care in the world except for themselves. I've come to learn that while they are ruthless, it only comes out in certain situations.
Turbulence begins and I grip the arm of the chair. Mateo takes matters into his own hands and pulls me into his lap.
Kaleb snickers, and I open my eyes to look at him. "It blows my mind, truly. How you have Mateo Michaels wrapped around your finger. It's a beautiful sight to see." He grins ear to ear.
"Kaleb?" Mateo asks.
"Yes?"
"Shut the fuck up."
And he did. I fell asleep in Mateo's lap.
I wake up when Elias holds me as we walk out of the airplane. It's bright and hot. I wiggle a bit and he places me down on the ground. The drive to the hotel is quiet, everyone either tired or just plain bored.
The room is beautiful, top floor with amazing views. Everyone has their own suite, for the exception of us three. The gala is in five hours, and the boys have some errands to run in the meantime. I lay in the large king sized bed, scrolling on my phone when a knock is heard at the door.
It riles my nerves for a moment, but I peek through the hole. It's three woman, bags in their hands. My face scrunches in confusion as I open the door. "Yes?"
The woman in the front smiles. "Mrs. Lamont? Your husband hired us to get you ready for the event tonight."
"It's Roselet," my initial reaction comes out first, ignoring the part from where they're here to pamper me. "I apologize, come in. My boyfriend didn't tell me you all were coming."
