^Guy's, I'm planning on changing the cover to this in a few chapter so don't get confused if my story has a new cover
Also, can you guys please leave some dares for "Candor or Dauntless" here? You'll find out what they're for in a little while.
Shai's Pov
I am currently driving to the casting office, slightly speeding so I won't arrive late. I had left my house relatively early so this wouldn't happen, but knowing L.A traffic, luck with the traffic was not upon me.
I arrive at the casting office at 11:55 when I was supposed to be there at 12:00. Technically I'm not late yet, but I'm still kind of pushing it.
I lock my car and head into the building, catching the first elevator and pressing the metal button that reads Floor 9. Right as the elevator doors starts to close, someone jumps in, forcing the doors to reopen.
"Sorry about that." That lady says, a very thick British accent in use. She has her long, brown hair in a high pony-tail. She is wearing a black dress with some heels, a very professional look, might I add, and is carrying two cups of coffee. She looks to be around twenty-six or twenty-seven years old.
"It's completely fine. What floor are you going to?" I ask.
"Nine," she starts, without any sense of confidence in her voice."I think.."
"Floor nine is the casting office, if that's where you're heading. I'm not sure what floor any other rooms are on, so I can't really help you beyond that, sorry." I say.
"The casting office is on floor nine?" she asks, confirming what I had just said. I just nod. "Perfect, I actually know where I'm going for once! Usually I tend to be quite forgetful." she adds with a soft chuckle.
"What are you auditioning for, if you don't mind me asking?" I ask, trying to be friendly. The metal doors of the elevator closes at last and the elevator starts ascending.
"I'm not auditioning for anything, actually. My client is, though, for a movie called Divergent." I guess she is the someone's agent then, rather than an actress. Probably that guy Neil said was audition for the role of Four today, I don't know who else her client would be. That would also kind of explain why she was carrying two cups of coffee. One must be for whoever she 'works' for.
"Oh, cool." I say, trying not to let the lady know who I am or that it's basically my decision if her client gets casted. I don't want her to think he has any advantages or disadvantages because we've already met."I wish them the best of luck."
"Thank you, I'm sure they'll appreciate it."
"Ding!" the bell on the elevator goes, right as the door opens.
"Nice to meet you, I'm afraid I have to go now." I say, turning and starting down the hallway.
"Nice to meet you, too." she says. We both go separate ways down the hallway. Me going to the casting office room where the audition will be held, and the lady going to some waiting room/ dressing room where I assume her client is waiting, going over the script on last time or something.
Neil, Lucy, and Doug talk to me for a few minutes before the audition is supposed to happen.
"We obviously don't want you to get stressed or feel any pressure, but this is kind of one of our last chances." Neil says. Gee, I wonder how I could ever get stressed out. Especially right after they told me it was 'basically their last chance.'
"We still want it to be authentic, of course, so if the guy really isn't working out, please don't try to force any chemistry. That will just look cheesy on screen." Lucy says, emphasising how it's really important that I don't pretend the guy is fine, just for them.
