Just as Lance was about to get his ass handed to him for the 6th time in Mario Kart not only by Keith but also his baby brother— the three boys heard the front door open.
Simon darted up throwing his controller to the side "Shit! Moms home!" He cursed, scurrying out the door and back to his room before Lance could scold him for cussing.

"Uhg, that little dude and his mouth." Lance shook his head in disappointment but he was still smiling. "He's a cool kid, wayy cooler than you when you were his age." Keith teased.
Lance clutched his chest and gasped. "Rude!! I was super cool! Definitely a hundred times cooler ten year old then you were."

"Whatever you have to tell yourself to sleep at night."
Keith chuckled as he finally shrugged out of the heavy duvet he was wearing, letting out a breathy sigh of relief. "Oh man, I was boiling alive in there." He panted, fanning himself off with his hand.
Lance couldn't help but stare at the small droplets of sweat trickling down his neck, and the shirt that clung tightly to his frame, chest heaving lightly, he gulped.
Be gone impure thoughts!

Keith must have noticed he was starring because he quickly covered his neck with his hand. "Sorry... I know is bothers you." He whispered.
Lance felt a pang of guilt.
"No, no, it's not that!" Keith raised a brow. "Then what is it?"
Blue eyes widened. "Err, nothing." He said, slapping himself inwardly.
"Uh so are you staying over again tonight?" Lance asked, hoping to change the subject.

Keith bit his lip. "No uh, I better not. I don't have my charger and my phones dead... Plus I could like really use a shower." He said gesturing to his sweaty body.  Lance sighed.
"Let me rephrase that, do you want to stay over again tonight?"

"But my phone-"

"I have a usb cable that fits androids downstairs."

"My clothes-"

"You can borrow mine."

"Shower...?"

"None  of these are answers to my question."

Keith was taken aback, he didn't think that Lance really wanted him here in the first place. He certainly wasn't expecting him to push this hard, actually he didn't expect him to push at all. Why was Lance so desperate to keep him from going home...

"Fine... if you want me to stay that badly then I'll stay." He rolled his eyes. "But seriously I need a shower and your mom can't find out I'm here."

Lance smirked.
"I think I have a plan for that..."

———

"I'm taking a shower!!" Lance yelled out into the hallway before closing the door behind him, turning to face Keith with a dopey grin on his face.
"Seriously? This is your plan?" He deadpanned. "C'mon I'll wash your back if you wash mine." He shot him a wink and Lance could swear he saw keith blush a little.
"W-wha? Hell no!" He sputtered "We're taking turns! And if I catch you peaking I will crush your Britney Spears albums."

Lance raised a brow.
"Only if you catch me though hm?"

Keith pinched his arm, (rather hard I might add). "Ow!! Okay, okay, geez!" Lance yelped, turning around to face the door giggling to himself.

He could hear the sound of water turning on, and clothes being tossed on the floor. His eye twitched at the sound of a zipper, Keith was getting naked only inches away from him. Lance started to think this might've been a terrible idea on his part.

'Calm down it's just Keith, what's wrong with me??It's not like I like him or anything. I mean sure he's attractive.... really attractive... but no! He's Keith, an emo asshole with damn mullet, you are not getting a hard on over a guy who has a fucking mullet.'

Suddenly his inner horny panic was interrupted by a voice behind him.
"Hey so uh-thanks for all of... y'know...this. and sorry, for all the trouble..."

Lance was a bit surprised at the sudden change in the atmosphere, and the genuine gratitude in Keith's voice. "It's really no biggie dude, plus...It's actually been kinda nice having you around." He admitted.
"But y'know... my mom wouldn't care that you're here right? she'd let you stay as long as you wanted to... we could tell—" "-NO!" Keith yelled a little louder than he should have, he winced, cringing at himself. "Shit sorry." He hoped no one heard that.
"I just- it's not her I'm worried about."

"Then why can't we..." Lance, eyes widened in realization, a small 'oh' escaped his lips.
"You don't want her to call home." Keith didn't say anything.

He paused for a moment, thinking.

"Well... okay then! Mission impossible continues! Keith and Lance... undercover agents!"

Keith snorted shaking his head to himself. "You're an idiot."

Lance never realized just how much he liked being called that.
"Yeah, yeah, now hurry! You're using up all the hot water."

———

Lance slowly poked his head out of the bathroom door, doing a double take. "Coast is clear." He whispered, doing an over dramatic summer-salt into the hallway before waving his hand at the bathroom, gesturing for Keith to follow. He rolled his eyes, but there was a glint of amusement in them that Lance didn't miss.

-

"Oh man! I needed that!" Lance sighed happily, feeling all clean and fresh. He sneaked a glance at Keith who seemed equally as pleased, he was sprawled out on the bed beside him, wearing the pair of sweats and big cozy pink HXH sweater that Lance had lent him. His hair was still a little damp despite it air drying for the 20 minutes he had to sit in the bathroom and listen to his friend belt out every Spice Girl song ever made.

"Alright" Lance groaned, kicking himself off the bed. "I gotta head downstairs for supper before my mom kills me. I'll sneak you up some food when I get back."
Keith hummed in acknowledgement, watching the boy as he closed the door behind him.

Now alone, Keith grabbed his phone off the nightstand, seeing all the unread messages and missed calls. Groaning, he tossed his phone to the side and stretched out his body, sighing as he starred up at the wall.
He didn't want to think about anything right now.
