It's been a few days since Ame lived in 1985. During those days, Ame figured out some stuff that she needed to continue on her journey. One was related to her skills/abilities.
To raise the skill level of a skill, you must keep on using it. It seemed simple at first but then the question of, how many times do I use it for it to rise a level arises.
For this Ame tested out a few things. First she tested out shooting her gun, everytime Ame shot hit the target, her skill level would slowly rise and when it did, the power and accuracy of the gun increased.
It took around 15 shots to get to the next level and 30 for the one. The number of times you need to use a skill to level it up doubles for each rise.
The next thing Ame tried was swimming. The idea that Ame came up with was, raising her skill level high enough to the point where it'll allow her to hold her breathe for long periods of time.
This time Ame swam while holding her breathe underwater for 30 seconds before the skill leveled up.
With this Ame figured out that, skills will level up after a random amount of uses and that, the number of uses doubles for each level up.
Ame wanted to be as prepared as possible before she continues her journey so, Ame kept on rising her skill levels for the past couple of days. She kept her training a secret from Jeremy and after 1 or 2 weeks she was finally ready.

"Whew, I've done all I can to prepare" Ame felt proud of her work.
"Still, I wonder if 1 Hour underwater is enough" Ame didn't know how long she'd have to look for which made her worry. She thought about getting an oxygen tank but she doesn't know where to get one.
"Now there's only one problem left" Ame said as she pulled out the Time-Pocket from her coat.
"I don't really know how many times I have to use this to level it up. There's also that 24 Hour cooldown after each use" Ame got more and more worried.
Ame doesn't know how many uses it takes to level up the skill nor how many level ups does she need to select a correct timeline. She also had to stay in the timeline she traveled for a whole da before moving again.
"Let's go" Ame said as she gripped the Time-pocket. At that moment a knock came from the door.
"Uhh miss? Are you awake?" Ame had almost forgotten. She had been living for with her father for a couple of weeks now. Ame's heart felt heavy, until now, Ame had been contemplating wether to save her father or nor but, even after all this time she still couldn't decide.
Ame opened the door and greeted Jeremy.
"Good morning" Ame said.
"Good morning" Jeremy replied with a smile.
"You should head down, the food's ready" Jeremy said with a smile
Ame and Jeremy headed downstairs to the living room. Ame sat down to the table infront of Jeremy. As they ate, silence filled the room once again.
"Jeremy.."
"Yes?"
"Can I ask you a question" Ame said meekly
"Sure" Jeremy replied happily
"Let's say that, Your parents died and that you've been sent back in a time where your parents are alive. Will you try and save them even if it meant screwing up everything else?" Ame said in a sad tone.
"Well... I... Probably won't" Ame turned her head to Jeremy when she heard that.
"Why" she asked
"Well I do love my parents and I do want to save them, but.. I don't know what effect it'll cause. If i saved my parents I might even ceased to exist, and this might sound selfish of me but my parents always told me to live my life happily" Jeremy said
Because of that Ame's hesitation and worry all disappeared.
"Thanks" Ame said as she teared up
"W-what's wrong" Jeremy said worryingly
"It's nothing, I just remembered my dad" Ame replied with a smile
"Also Jeremy"
"Hm?"
"I know this is very abrupt but i'll be leaving today. I'm sorry that I couldn't pay you back for anything or do anything for you" Ame said
Jeremy was quite shocked about this but nonetheless, she bid Ame farewell and wished her goodluck on her travels.
Ame headed outside and went to the alley she arrived at.
"Alright Let's go" Ame pulled out the Time-Pocket.
[Use Time-Pocket?]
"Yes"
[The skill level of the user is too low. Selecting random timeline]
Ame got covered in golden light once again and then she disappeared.
Back in Jeremy's House
"Amelia huh? What a pretty name" Jeremy smiled
Europe, World War 1
Ame arrived at the next timeline.
"Woah woah woah!"
"Hmmp *barfs*, God, I'm never gonna get use to this"
"Anyways where am I" as she said that a bullet went past her.
"Ahhh!" Ame screamed. Ame quickly looked for cover and she managed to find a huge boulder.
"Where am I?!" Ame panicked
[Europe, October 27, 1916]
"1916.. World War 1?!"
