I can’t believe that I’m actually here. I’M FINALLY IN MY OWN HOME?! I mean my father’s house was and still is my home but I worked hard to buy this house and I’m proud of myself.
The house itself was a wonderful creation of man.
Surrounded by lush green vines, the rock walls belonged right where it was, as if perchance they had grown up right from that hallowed ground. A stony path going up to the door of the house was a beauty in itself. Its windows were as eyes, open to welcome any ray of sun. There was a beautiful garden right in front of the porch. I won’t let the pretty flowers die this time. I promise.
I moved around the house, drinking all the details in and thinking of the possible fun memories I might make in the future.
It was a two storeyed house, the stairs located right in the middle of a large hall and leading up to the second floor which had the master bedroom(aka my room), rooms for my family and a vast library.
Goodness, this mansion is literally from my dreams.
The ground floor had a visiting room and a sort of an office along with the kitchen and dining room. The guest rooms were on the ground floor.
Walking in the halls made me feel like a royal. The house had a vintage touch to it and along with the modern stuff, everything looked perfect.
The bedroom was furnished and had an attached bathroom and a large balcony which overlooked the garden. The house was what could be called a Victorian style mansion. It was old but, kept perfectly well enough to live in.
I went back to the bedroom and sprawled myself on my bed. It’s been a whole day that I spent in my home and I’m not at all used to all this.
The empty corridors, the currently empty room, no Hugo or Dad, all by myself. I think it would get lonely in here at times.
Honestly, spending my first night here gave me the chills. Even the slightest of noises would scare me and I’d crawl inside the covers, silently laughing at myself later.
But, no matter what, I still love the place. I can’t wait to invite everyone over for a dinner together!
Hazel had come to visit in the morning and she was as excited as me, saying that she’d be hoarding my house all the time.
✿♪✿♪✿♪I heard the bell ring and went out to check who it was, at the door in such a “late” hour. I mean, 11 at night is late for a visitor, especially if I’m not expecting them, right?
Shit, this could be my last day. I don’t want to die, yet! Someone help me?!
Should I just ignore whoever is at the door?!
Should I call dad?!
I heard the sound of my phone ringing. It was from Evan.
Nice timing Ev, I sighed in relief.
“Hey Ev! Thanks a ton for calling bro, there’s someone at the door and…”
He gave a light chuckle and said, “righto, you’re paranoid. Don’t worry Al, it’s just something I sent for you and those idiots got late in delivering them and had just called me to inform that the delivery boy was at the door.”
“Damn. What did you send?! And why aren’t you back yet, you bastard!”, I exclaimed.
I heard him hesitate, “uhh, sorry Al, the meeting took longer than expected and a flight wasn’t available for today..”, he explained, “but Madame, the delivery boy is waiting! Shall I tell him to leave the parcel at the door and go?”
