When I wake up,
my alarm goes off,
now a steering wheel & a coffe cup,
gotta race the clock.
Make it to school,
not a minute to spare,
a clock on the wall,
is where I resign to stare.
As the minutes tick by,
I think- am I wasting time?
Finally, I get home,
a barking dog wants to be fed,
but there's one thing on my mind,
and that's going to bed.
The dog is quiet,
now ther's homework to do,
nope, not now,
now I want food too.
As the minutes tick by,
I ask- am I wasting time?
The chores are done,
the TV is so enticing,
but Instagram calls,
it's bright screen so inviting.
As the minutes have ticked by,
Haven't I wasted time?
Then it hits me,
what did I do today
that Meant anything?
