Why do you still look at her
With that love in your eyes?
Why is there so much tender care
For the pain in innocent's disguise?
She broke your heart
With a grip so cold
I want to bring back the warm
All the night your hand to hold.
I left you too often
I'll be the first to admit
But I always came back around
While she was afraid to commit.
She broke your heart
So strong yet frail
Never seeing you were truly
A kindly knight of a fairytale.
Yet still your gaze
Is tender
And I can't help but
Wonder
Will you ever see
How toxic she is
To your sunshine soul
This cannot persist.
Let her go and say hello
To a brighter, happier story ahead
With a girl I know
But will never, can never, directly recommend.
